Do the Bears know how to identify good coordinators? Because I don't have faith they do. They missed on both the DC and the OC this season.
A future HOF OC could walk up the Halas Hall, but would the front office know that?
They understand now how to get a great one. Kevin Warren was "key" to this wonderful epiphany moment. He was overheard talking with Poles about how they were going to approach the hire THIS time around. Warren was heard telling Poles "It's all about the arm length, Ryan - we need every single candidate measured for arm length and we will hire a guy with arms like an orangutan. It can't miss. It's all about the arms my boy."
This Warren dude finally gets it.... or wait, maybe he's confusing fixing the OL here? LOL.
Kubiak would be amazing here. Can you imagine THAT kind of offense versus what we suffered through under Luke Getsy? There are some incredible candidates available this year. The defense is already ascending right now and pairing it with a strong offense just boggles the mind as far as our 2024 team - we did not need to blow it all up again - we needed to fix what was broken and BUILD on the foundation laid in 2023, the first year of the rebuild.

I was reading that the reasoning is because his Dad is one of the people that helped develop the wide zone scheme that Flus wants to use. The 49ers loosely use it and he is well versed in it.

I was reading up on him. He has 9 years of coaching experience and is only 36 years old. All three brothers are in the NFL, two as coaches and one is a scout for the Dallas Cowboys. His dad has 4 Super Bowl rings and was in 3 other Super Bowls. Klint is young but has Offensive Coordinator experience and also has been on coaching staffs with some good coaches, including his current HC, Kyle Shanahan. So this would not be a rookie 1st time OC (even though he is a young man). He has called plays for two franchises, Broncos and Vikings.
