Offseason #1 - House-cleaning and possible new coaches

8:00 am Tuesday morning in Peru.....no news, all is well in Halas Hall.

I believe they can still ask for permission to interview, other teams are announcing this including coaches on playoff teams. My bigger concern is that a current OC can't be hired as OC on another team. No moves can be lateral. This means they are stuck looking at QB coaches, passing game coords, OCs on the street and college coaches. If they were going to replace Flus, there is no reason to keep him as of yesterday. No team EVER interviews for HC position while the HC is still working for the team. (Of course these are the Bears....) 

There are experienced OCs without jobs right now: Reich, ASmith (any OC that can generate a playoff team with Tannahill as the QB makes me think about him twice), Dorsey, Bieniemy (who if he isn't fired yet will be unless he gets HC job) and others. If Flus is kept, these are the guys who will be the next OC. None of these guys are going to get HC interviews (my opinion, I'm most likely wrong).

I think you are confusing weapons with tools.
