He's the worst QB in the division. He is at 2.5k yards for the season while Love hit 4k. I don't see Fields as a 3k passer
Getting a guy like Harrison won't make him a 4k passer either. So its a waste to take a WR that good when someone will lose catches just like Mooney fell off the clip this year.
He has not been provided with an NFL-quality offensive coordinator since he arrived here. You saw the OL in that game. No NFL quarterback can function when the D is on you with the snap... Fields couldn't even use his legs in that game running for his life. D was in the backfield with the snap. The WRs not named DJ Moore are not starter quality players. I would think we "start the clock" when there is a coach, OL and WRs who are NFL-quality (even average NFL quality). Would Marvin Harrison Jr, a solid OL and a good Offensive Coordinator make a difference? You know the answer. Love has a solid franchise top-to-bottom. They churn out great offenses like a sausage factory. Hall of Fame level QBs (they have had 4 now if you include AR) come pretty easy for them due to the fact they know what they are doing building an offense there. Bears have no clue. But somehow this is all Justin Fields' fault? Cmon.
No quaterback has an all pro team like everyone wants Fields to have. You work with what you got. It sucks that he isn't the guy. We have to waste another first round pick on a qb but we have too. We just missed out on a franchise qb last year.

MOTM your rambling and spewing nonsense is tir. IMO you have no credibility from an argument perspective. You are calling for Fields job over and over again because he holds the ball too long and in the same breath you praise Caleb Williams as a can’t miss prospect. Caleb Williams is near rhe bottom of the list of college QB’s with time holding the ball in the pocket. What do you think will happen if he gets here given he isn’t near as mobile as Fields? It’s going to be an even worse situation, and given Williams mental capacity, it will be a nightmare tenure.

Time holding the ball is VERY close between Williams and Fields

Not just about holding onto the ball. He lacks anticipation. We see Bagent look much better from a rhythm stand point then Fields. Even adding Harrison here won't change Fields. He's not a passing qb. He's a run first QB with sub 3k yards.
We are the only franchise in NFL history to not have a QB throw 4k yards. How sad is that?

Hurts has AJ Brown, Devonta Smith, and Dallas Goedert. Tua has Waddle and Hill. Purdy has Deebo, Aiyuk, Kittle. Burrow has Chase and Higgins. Dak has CeeDee and Cooks. Allen has Diggs, Davis, Kincaid. I could go on....ALL QB'S NEED WEAPONS....AS IN MULTIPLE WEAPONS!!!

With exception of week 18, Bears OL has been pretty solid since Jenkins got back around week 6 or so.
Leaving out week 18, how has Fields done? (I won't cite the stats for the millionth time but they aren't impressive)
Look we all agree the team still has holes to fill, particularly on offense. No one is saying "just change the QB and leave everything else alone". Literally NO ONE.
At what point do the excuses end for Justin? Tell me when please SPECIFICALLY. Another year?
What if the new OC has problems next year too? What if the new WR gets hurt or has some rookie growing pains next year?
Are we gonna hear more excuses then too?
It's hard to sort through the reasons (not excuses but reasons) why the offense is so bad. It's a number of factors and we all understand that (LOL, at least I hope so). Certainly we can disagree on how we weight the problems. I would disagree with you regarding the offensive line being pretty solid. They did play better with Jenkins back though, I do agree and we saw the offense perform better as a result... we started winning some games.
Your question about how long to keep Fields is a good one that I struggle with to be honest. If this is his ceiling then certainly he needs to be traded. If the Bears believe that with a better OL and receivers - and a decent offensive coordinator (Getsy is abysmal, and I think everyone agrees with that) - Fields has a much higher ceiling then sure keep him. I've said it a number of times, I am not going to have a hissy fit if they draft a QB in this draft. I just hope whatever the Bears decide they do get it right this time. Not just with the Fields decision but all of them they're going to need to make over the next few months. The Bears certainly have the draft and cap money resources to fix everything. I hope they do.

Fields has Flus and Getsky. I would consider them weapons.
oohhh. I think you meant weapons beneficial to us. sorry
