Fields projected next contract

I remember that. I think it was more about the money. Poles said he wanted to keep him and made what Poles considered a good offer.  Roquan was adapting to the 4-3, and was leading the league in tackles when Poles traded him.

Roquan isn't a quarterback. Poles stuck to his guns and got TWO guys who are studs for the price of Roquan. I don't think JJ and his contract have any bearing on Fields and his contract.

Do you expect Poles to capitulate to anything Fields demands?

Its really not that much when you consider the extensions already signed and what the market is trending to. I covered it in my previous post. $12 mill less per year than Burrows. Beyond that, he brings more to the table than just his passing, which is improving and the league is trending in the direction of the type of QB Fields is. He does things only 1 or 2 other guys in the league can do. Stop thinking about the position as just someone who throws passes...its becoming more than that...it isn't the 80's/90's/early 2000's anymore. The league is evolving and so is the position.
