I haven't heard him deny any of this as far as not going to the team who drafts him. What if we draft him and he won't come here? We just "lose" our 1st round picked guy. How about them apples, right? He sounds like a nut to me.
We still hold his rights. Meaning if he refuses to play then he gives up his NFL career.
No sane person is going to give up a chance to make millions from the NFL and be set for future generations.
He's too busy focusing on his games. If he flat out said that. That's a bit different.
He has the option to come back and play out his senior year of college, but that seems unlikely.

+1 I really don't know anything about the guy except some of the drama stuff the past few weeks that may not even be true. I was watching him for the first time in that Notre Dame game and expecting to see a magical performance by a "generational talent" there. If it hadn't been for all the hype about the guy I wouldn't have thought much about the loss. Anyway, it will be interesting to see if the ND game was a one-off fluke or not. USC has upcoming games against 4 ranked opponents (two are top-10). I am going to try and watch him play the remaining games. Maybe I just caught a really bad game... LOL, after the 3 ints and the fumble in the first half I was a bit shocked. All I could think of was the guy was overrated.

True but would you want to risk injury or your draft pick tanking from more game in college?
I say 99% of college kids don't.
+1 And even if he did return to college for his senior year, he will still go to a bad team... the worst teams get the highest draft picks. And you are also right that he could risk a serious injury with another college year that could drop his value in the 2025 draft.
OMG, this is clown college hilarious. You can't make this up.
Ric, JABF, Alex, MPB have a look.
I saw it. My brother sent it to me yesterday. Hoge and the CHGO crew have pointed out weird play designs and obvious mis-executions all season.
Including the opening play last Sunday where there was a designed free rusher off the left side but no movement of the pocket or QB AWAY from that side. They also pointed it that, although the play design might be questionable, the QB has to read the blocking and KNOW he immediately needs to throw that to the right flat or immediately roll out there. They even said that "Bagent would have recognized that and gotten the ball away quickly". That screwup was 100% on Justin and unfortunately he has shit like that all the time where he doesn't read well pre-snap and doesn't make the correct counter-move post-snap.
The blocking Three Stooges fest that was this particular play was only one example of the Bears O stepping on its own dick.
On the play he got hurt, Fields took 6.1 seconds to finally try to throw the ball away (way too late) and he hesitated in the pocket beforehand rather than firing it with anticipation to Moore who was gonna come open on a deep in-route. Again, 100% on the QB. Dan Marino would have completed 3 passes in 6.1 seconds. It's become ridiculous to watch.

+1 I saw that too. I keep thinking that this coaching staff fails to have the team ready to play on gamedays. We do have talent issues, but the talent we already have seems so NOT ready to play games.
