David, could you PLEASE STOP WHINING about last year's teardown? Its one of the few things this franchise has done right (admittedly easier to do than the rebuild portion).
Mack, Smith, Quinn, Hicks, Robinson, Nichols, Goldman, Trevathan...we have been over that shit a thousand times.

Yes, and we are not going to agree. Look at the results and then go ahead and scapegoat Eberflus for this roster. It’s not his job.

None of those guys would make a rats ass worth of difference in 2023. OK, maybe Mack would but his contract was unaffordable at the time and he was coming off an injury-plagued down year.
ALL THE REST are either out of the league or JAGs at this point. All are "lost dogs" as you like to call them at this point.

Are you saying the HC does NOT choose who to keep and who to cut during preseason? Who plays and who is a healthy scratch during the season? That he doesn't provide input to the GM for draft opinions? Eberflus most certainly IS responsible for this roster. Yes, Poles drafts the guys and signs FAs, but he relies on the HC's input. Let's also not forget that most of the guys on the field now won't be here next year. There are a lot of 1-year deals as part of last year's tear down and contract cleansing.

I would fire Eberflus, too.
Poles has primary responsibility and ultimately control over the roster. People here want to give him a pass. If I were Warren, they are both fired.

Usually a GM gets more than one HC hire opportunity. Sometimes no matter how much due diligence you perform, a hiring doesn't work out (LOL, ask me how I know).

If you trade JJ he has to be replaced or his roster spot needs to be filled. Thats either a draft pick for a starting CB (2nd round or higher most likely) or over paying in FA for a subpar talent. They can't be selling everyone that they can. If we want to focus on OFF in the draft and FA they can't we opening holes on DEF.
At the least this teams needs 2 Safties, 1 CB, 3 tech NT, and multiple edge rushers only on DEF. How many 1-2-3 round picks do we want them to spend on DEF? CAP is going to go up, Johnson won't break it and they could absorb Jackson's contract too.
Don't create holes they will then need to spend CAP and draft capitol on.

If/When this coaching staff is excused. We have no idea what the scheme could be next year. J.J. might be a hot commodity for the DC incoming schemes so I say we don't become firehouse sellers.
