Bears put him on the inactive list. Mouthing off to the press, not blocking, not learning the playbook, slacking off in practice.
Running the wrong routes... not knowing a screen play call from a run play call, etc, etc, etc. But other than that he has been good, right? LOL.
ya just needed a year, to learn the playbook? What does he think Naggy is still here and it takes 3 years? Pitt literally drafted his replacement and in the same year his replacement replaced him, which for WR is very telling; you don't expect much from rookie WR's. It screamed this guy is a dud, and we gave up the 32 pick for this, straight fleeced.
This is one of those rare instances where Claypool is both right AND wrong. He's right because this staff isn't using anyone the correct way and wrong because, well he's been a bust/disappointment/stealing-his-money.

But in all honesty, what is the right way to use a guy who is out there on plays not knowing the play, where to go on the play, or even if it is a pass play or a run play? LOL. I don't think there is a way TO use a guy like that... just bench him and leave him there. Dude hurts the team. This isn't neighborhood pickup football with the neighborhood kids. It's the NFL.

This is Anthony Miller all over again. Miller is not on an NFL team currently, SF didn't bother to keep him on the active roster. As you said, this isn't backyard ball. You have to run your route as designed all game long or you are less useful than a shitty depth WR that cannot catch.
Eberflus said the reason Claypool was not at the stadium today was that he was given the choice to stay home today. However, a representative of the Bears later said that is not true, and he was ordered to stay home but report to practice on Monday. This is beyond ridiculous.

I saw that too. Fields said he wants Claypool playing. So I wonder how this will end.
