Fields was 11/22, 99 yards, 1 TD, 1 pick. Are you really sure it's just Getsy??
99 YDS the entire game!?!?!?
C.J. Stroud, who is a rookie, just made history today. First QB to have at least 900 passing yards, four pass touchdowns and zero interceptions in his first three career starts.
And before you say anything, he also has no weapons to throw to (the Texans' receiving corps is very weak) and he has a rookie defensive-minded HC.
THIS is why it was so frustrating to hear Fields throw the coaching staff under the bus this week. He himself is a big part of the problem. Anyone who says he's not is a fool.
Enough already.
Stroud is the real deal. I’m very impressed by this start. I wish Poles had drafted him.

Way too early but yeah if Poles missed on Stroud like Pace did on Mahomes......yeash!
You look at this tweet and tell me its not on poles. The guy has to go.
I'd say thats more an indictment on Flus actually. He's a defensive coach who's gotten some talent to work with on defense and it sucks.
I don't disagree but at the same time. You have a young QB who looked promising, refused to really give him much help and shocked that he's still struggling?

None of these guys Poles brought in are as good as the guys they replaced. Take Edmunds, for example. I watched the whole Ravens game today. Roquan was all over the place, making key stops. And what other free agent he brought in has impressed you? Eberflus should be fired, but I want Poles to be first out the door.

Does everyone forget Smith wanted out? He wasn't going to resign here regardless so we got what we could for him.

He wanted out because Poles wouldn’t pay what he wanted. Ravens did. Moving on, the two picks we had in second round turned into Dexter and Stevenson….two guys who have produced next to nothing. I could say the same for Gordon. Ric is right. Poles has sunk a ton of his $100 million into the defense as well as draft picks, and it’s still terrible.
I’ll say again that Eberflus had a pretty decent defense with the Colts, so I can’t believe he doesn’t know how to put together a defense. He simply doesn’t have the horses.

My Dad was a Bears fan and a Phins fan so I heard lots of Csonka and Payton stories. Lots of Butkus and no name defense stories. Lots of Super Bowl Shuffle and Undefeated stories. Child me really messed up by falling in love with Chi-Town.
The part that bothers me is I'm just a fan, a guy who watches at home and has very little resources and yet the coaches I wanted to hire and the players I liked in the draft seem to (generally) turn out much better than what my team chooses. Why should I have a better success rate than an NFL franchise??
Was a rough one today I didn't think we'd be contenders but I thought it'd be fun. I thought there would be progress. I really didn't think we'd have 100+ mil in cap space AND #1 overall pick and be worse.
Phins dropped 70 on Broncos and we have that at home and we're STILL underdogs in Vegas.
Appreciate y'all, hope we get something worth watching at some point this year. BEAR DOWN

I wasn't born yet in the earlier years when this team was in the mud, but when I saw the Dave Waanstedt/Dick Jauron years, I thought I saw the worst this team could get. Then I watched Trestman year two and was flabbergasted. The John Fox years left me speechless. Now, from what I've seen today, I don't know if I can get mad about how this team is performing now. I've become numb to it, and I doubt I'm the only one that feels that way.
What's maddening about this is that this will likely never change, as long as the brain trust still makes money hand over foot regarding this team. No one deserves this; the fans, the players, the coaches, no one.
