I just don't get how year after year we lose to the Packers the same way. I wasn't expecting a W but I was expecting a close game. The team didn't feel like they practice at all. Same problem year after year. Why is claypool still in the line up? Bench the man already. I don't care if he's basically a late 1st rounder.
My biggest concern is Fields. Its one thing to lose a lot of games and know you got the guy. Its another thing to be once again in QB hell where you have to once again hope and pray to get the right QB. If Fields is not it. You have to let go of the GM/HC. Let the new front office pick their guy and not create the same problem we did for years with coaching staff that didn't pick their guy and having to use the previous regime guy once again and the cycle continues.
Why is it important to say that Claypool was basically a late 1st rd? You could also say he is basically an early 2nd rd. Thats what we gave them. Just asking, cos it kind of bugs me.
I forget which one, but a team lost their 1st round pick, so that 33 pick became the 32, so while technically in the 2nd round, it was a 1st rd pick. It matters/ed b/c giving them the higher of the 2 2nd's was dumb at the time and became ever more so when we had the first overall pick of the 1st and 2nd. It was and is a terrible trade regardless of if it was the 32 or 33 pick. It utterly changed, and not in a good way, how the team is currently built.

Of course it was, no doubt about that now, they still traded 2nd rd at the time

And it still became the 32pick in the draft, which is a 1st. that's why there is a caveat put on it. Could have had 2 1sts, + DJ, and if Claypool was w/GB we'd all be rejoicing right now.

Nobody couldve known it would became 1st, so they traded 2nd. What is important is at the second of the trade, not later on. Sorry.
Getsy is an F'ing clown, starting to sound like Nagy!! π€¦ββοΈπ€¦ββοΈπ€¦ββοΈ
Fire his ass just for the stupidity of his comment. Seriously, how can he even say that knowing the fan base is going to be more pissed-off than before.
Well yes but the talent level at that level still is late first round. Now a pick between 37-42 would still be consider early 2nd but the chance of late first round picks falling that low are rare.
Im sure that is nitpicking. Someone could say Brady was a very very late 1st rd pick, right? ha
nfl.com, espn.com and other said that then: Chicago Bears have acquired wide receiver Chase Claypool from the Pittsburgh Steelers at the trade deadline in exchange for a 2023 second-round pick, it was announced Tuesday.
So that was that, what happened afterwards is not important.
Are you saying that a #33 overall pick holds the same value as a #64 overall pick?
