I wondered. I wondered what the fallout would be. I can't remember off hand of a loss that impacted the fan base like this game. As a longtime Bears fan, of course there have been countless "bad games" and losses to the Packers. But this one seemed worse than anything I can remember. The hype before this season was high. Even reasonable expectations had this season being one with some improvement. Heck, we read about Fields being hyped as the league MVP this year.
And then we get to watch one of the worst outings - not the worst scoring defeat, but one where our team looked unspeakably bad on every level. And players quit (I'm sure you have watched the videos of this on the Internet). So much for the vaunted H.I.T.S. thing.
Sounds like Halas Hall is as stunned as the fanbase.

Good!! I would like to think someone there is at the least bothered.
A game everyone figured would be the changing of ownership from ARod to the people. Opening up the playbook for the win. A Fox game of the week AT HOME!! 1St game of the New season with optimism.
I mean on and on.... I feel for the people like MP that were there. I could not imagine how MP and the people that may have scraped up the funds, because we know gameday is no trip to the dollar store must have felt afterwards.
I would like to think that Ginny yelled at her Family. They yelled at Mr. Warren. Poles got a good arse spreading. Then Flus had his head flushed in the toilet a few times and so on.....

LOL, seriously, I've though several times since "The Game" ended, that if this doesn't kill old Virginia, I'll be surprised. It's like all hope ended. Can you imagine Eberflus cleaning the H.I.T.S. off the dry eraser board and quietly wandering off to his office? LOL, I can. He so looked like a man in denial in that presser today... but then again what CAN you say? Fields looked physically ill fielding questions. He had that "Mitch Look" that Trubs had towards the end...

I'm stunned that they are stunned.
Even us meatball fans here could immediately see the obvious flaws in what they were doing.
These guys are supposed to be highly experienced, smart pro football coaches and coordinators. They suck until proven otherwise.

Why?
It's Halas Hall. Does the club NOT report to the franchise? Does the GM ... NOT say "we still have problems" or does he walk in going "SUN SHINE AND RAINBOWS OUT THERE, I TELL YA!"
How could this be a surprise?
Were beat reporters prevented from watching practice? Were practices as terrible as the game?
"In the Year Twenty and 3, during the third millennium after the ascension, a great beast will emerge from the dirt under which is buried the city of Districtus, and it will consume the norsemen, ursus and bouchier and bring them to it's heel. The people will pay it in idols and much gold. And the David will wail in great angst." ~ Nostrilthumbup

He can’t preach HITS and “culture” and keep Davis/Claypool in the starting lineup. Period. It sends the message that this level of horrific performance is tolerable. Happy talk and cliches in press conferences ain’t cutting it with THIS fan. After a bad game, I am usually recovered by Wednesday, but not this week.

The rage the fanbase feels right now is completely justified. Be glad it wasn't a snow game cuz fans at SF on Sunday would have been raining snowballs down on the field--the anger was obvious at the product these clowns put out there.
The other factor that goes beyond one bad game is that we all fear, again justifiably so, that yet again we don't have the right QB nor do we have the right coaching staff in place to develop one.
Unless things turn around quick, we are back in QB Hell again and starting all over yet again.
Josh Allen and Sean McDermott would drag this roster, flaws and all, to 11 wins. We have no chance with a floundering QB and a clueless coaching staff.

If that is true, I'm stunned they are stunned too. Did they think that what happened was going to pass without comment? After the tear down of last season? After saying (even though few of us believed it 100%) that the team had improved? Did they think the fan base and media was going to accept another loss to GB in the exact same way they have lost to the hated rival for the past 15 season? Don't these guy understand the utter dislike we as a fan base have for GB? If this had been almost any other team than GB the tempest might be a little smaller. But it was F%^%^*G GB!!!!!!!
I seriously didn't expect to win, but I was sure they weren't going to lose THE EXACT SAME WAY they have lost going back to Lovie saying "We don't practice against slants."
If they are stunned they need to resign now.
Brasil rants below like a crazy man. Read at your own risk.
I'll say it again. As a fan base we hate GB. I grew up next to a family that were from Wisconsin and had all pro sports Wisconsin rubbed in my face from day one. Brewers WS win, Packers, Bucks....every season, every year. I despise all things Wisconsin (beautiful state parks, I'll give them that. i have great memories of camping with my family in Governor Dodge State Park. I've camped and canoed down the Wisconsin River from midstate all the way to the Mississippi.) But especially the Packers. I went to college with Packers fans, the room next to me was unbearable 24-7. If the Packers never won another game, sold the stadium and moved to Mexico City I would throw a party for this board and pay for the open bar. To sit through another loss like the ones I sat through from the end of Lovie, through Conte deciding to not cover Cobb, with Fox standing there dumbfounded again, to Rodgers screaming "I own you!" And then they trot out that performance on Sunday? And they are stunned?
And they don't have answers? I got answers for them. STOP RUNNING WR SCREENS! STOP PLAYING A SOFT COVER-2 WHEN YOU DON'T BLITZ! COVER SOMEONE ON THIRD DOWN! THROW THE BALL DOWN FIELD! USE M.LEWIS FOR WHY YOU SIGNED HIM! THROW THE BALL TO MOORE! MAKE JOHNSON THE #2 RB! TELL WILLIAMS IF HIS DEF GIVES UP MORE THAN 2 THIRD AND 10+ AGAIN NOT TO EVEN GO TO THE LOCKERROON AFTER THE GAME, JUST GO HOME WE'LL SHIP YOU YOUR STUFF! TELL GETSY THAT IF HE EVER RUNS A SNEAK WITH A TE/WR/FB AGAIN HE CAN HAND HIS HEADSET TO THE NEAREST INTERN AND LEAVE THE STADIUM!

I rarely swear but GTFO. [\spoiler]
Exactly my thinking Brasil, we are sick and tired of this same shit. It has been exactly the same. Ol Lovie, Trestman, Fox, Nagy and now this shit. All they do is talk. And the best talker of the bunch is Poles, without any doubt. I wonder, I really do, what does he think about this last game. My god, if I was him I would fire somebody, dont care about that traditional offseason fire/hire NFL stuff. We need football/soccer stuff here. Shocks, cuts, we need something, anything. If not we are again watching the same ol boring flick. Im talking Police Academy VI shit level. Enough is enough!
