What are Justin Fields’ most important checkpoints in 2023?

I do agree with that.  The league now knows how to defend against Fields.  Getsy needed to make adjustments, and he really should have anticipated needing to do that before this season even began.  Instead of monkeying with Fields' mechanics, he should have been figuring out how to adjust the offense to overcome this.  And this D adjustment against a running QB who can't pass well, isn't a new thing.  It's how the league has worked forever with these running QBs who lack passing skills.  I think it is too late to salvage Fields.  In that Hoge & Jahns podcast (I think it was that one) they said that there probably will be a team willing to bring Fields in, thinking they can fix him.  My gut feeling is that could very well be the case.  I don't think you'd get much for him.  But the Bears are not going to fix Fields so let's get what we can for him at the end of the season and move on - with different coaches.  Don't let these monkeys near another QB.  Get new coaches who know what they are doing on offense in general, and with QBs in particular.
