Jenkins to return from IR, week 6 start might be possible

Strange timing. Carter time!

The Bears actually have 3 solid IOL backups in LG Alex Leatherwood, C Doug Kramer and RG Ja'Tyre Carter.  I''m hoping the Bears keep Larry Borom as the swing tackle... he's graded out at 97.0 this preseason and had almost equal snaps at LT and RT this preseason.  He has starting experience at both positions.  He is young and yes he has struggled at times his first 2 seasons.  But he looks to me like he'd be a great swing tackle.  

So if the Bears kept those guys (Leatherwood, Kramer, Carter & Borom) as the backups, it would mean carrying 9 OL on the 53-man roster.  I hope they do that.  Keep some ascending guys on the practice squad but go into this season with those 9 OL rostered.  Cut Patrick.

Poles & Fluss have been pretty transparent up until now. Let's hope they give us timely updates on this injury & how long he might be out.
But yeah if it is another nagging injury then we have to start thinking about the future, particularly next year when we have good draft capital to work with.
