Today in his press conference Fox was asked about the Fangio rumor and said "the staff is tremendous" and "I want our whole staff back".
Fox said he was "Shocked" that this rumor had developed...
Shocked? Why? With as little accurate information as he's ever been willing to provide and as little loyalty as he shown some players why should he be shocked. He wouldn't give Cutler a vote of confidence vs Hoyer earlier this year but says Josh Bellamy has a lot of "heart" even though in successive weeks we've seen him lose one game due to the drop of a perfect pass, fall short of another TD by jumping for a catch he didn't need to jump for and falling down, and had a third sure TD go through his hands.
It sure as hell seems to me that John Fox spends far more time trying to boost the confidence of those who fail than he does complimenting those who succeed. Say what you will but IMHO this guy is the worst personnel manager as a HC we've had since Wanny and he was awful.

The John Fox interviews are driving me over the edge... painful to watch.

You and me both brother. I'd rather watch an hour long video of the best of Lovie saying so and so is our so and so and we'll go from there than to listen to Fox sound like "Coach" on cheers trying to figure out an answer to a question that isn't an answer at all because it says little or nothing. He never wants to be pinned down and when a HC tells the media he has no plan regarding his QB situation and I believe him we're so far into the "danger zone" we're never gonna get out of it while he's around. Dump him.
Fox and Loggains are easily replaceable. Fangio isn't. The guy has made a decent, even good, defense out of practically nothing.
If Pace allows this to happen then I am done with Pace also. Fans understand the pain of a rebuilding effort being necessary, but you have to build - not tear down what is working. Otherwise we will never see the end of the tunnel here. It will just be endless seasons of futility.
Here we have a major building block for the team - a guy who can build us a GREAT defense again. We could truly be those "Monsters of the Midway" again with a defense to be proud of.
If Ryan Pace would allow Vic Fangio to walk, then he is no better than Jerry Angelo and Phil Emery. Just one more clueless GM.
yes, me too. That would be a travesty. Fox is not good enough to dictate letting Fangio go.
