Oluwatimi will have to battle in training camp for the starting center job. But right now, it feels like a “miss”. If he’s as good as they are claiming in Seattle, he would have been a great addition.
That guy has short arms and downright tiny 8.5 inch hands. I don't like Munchkin hands on a center. I read his draft profile and he sounds like he could develop into a starter - but nothing special. I have a feeling that DL guys will feast on him. The Center position of the OL is too important to settle for a guy like this. I do wish him luck. But surely Poles can do better than this guy.

Seahawks or Bears should have drafted Carter. Big mistake. I know the Poles argument. He is a better “fit” with the Eagles, but the Seahawks/Bears don’t have enough confidence in their own organizations to manage him. That’s the sad truth.
Here is a review of our recent draft (and veteran personnel moves) from the perspective of an Eagles fan. He is absolutely in love with both the Darnell Wright and Gervon Dexter picks. Towards the end of the clip, he has middle school/high school video of what looks like a 13- or 14-year-old Gervon Dexter doing reverse slam dunks on the basketball court. He also has a lot of good things about the pick of Noah Newell. I was not a big fan of that pick, but it looks like Sewell is from the Philadelphia area and that is where the author does most of his work. So, we'll see.
I never viewed any of this guy's work before. His video just popped up on my YT recommended video list one day and I though it interesting. But in any event the author seems pretty knowledgeable and has a decidedly different perspective from a typical Bear's fan.
And I suspect that if he wants to supplement the DL talent, he will do something short term as he has two 1st rounders next year.
If Carolina really bombs in 2023, the pick we have from them will be a pretty high pick. Why spend a ton of draft capital and cap space if you can get something adequate now and get someone on a full 4-year rookie deal next year?
It's not like this will make the difference with us going deep into the playoffs in 2023.

It's such a slow time for NFL news right now. Much of what we read or hear right now is hyperbole like this. I like to post new content regularly on our messageboard. But most of it is just not worth reading. I am so tired of hashing over the moves, non-moves and the draft. I'm pretty much just waiting for summer training camp to kick off. I might try and talk Mrs JABF into coming with me to camp for a day this year, once it begins. We have not done that in awhile. But, yeah, for now we're reading how a 5th round kid from another team has been "fabulous" in a rookie camp... and how he has totally "blown away" his coaching staff with :his physical abilities, football IQ, and leadership." I'm not making fun of davidl - in fact I appreciate how he tries to keep some content flowing on our board during these death-valley days of the off season. But boy, it's like watching paint dry right now as far as real news stuff. But soon we'll have camp and preseason to talk about... and shortly afterwards REAL games being played again. I can't wait.
LOL, and I have tickets for our family to go to Kansas City in September to watch the Bears vs. Chiefs game. I can't wait for that. Even if we lose, I hope it's a good game to watch. And I do enjoy watching the Chiefs play. Andy Reid is a hoot too.

LOL. I don’t see much chance of him turning out like Leatherwood, unless the Seahawks GM/head coach have their heads in the sand up to their elbows. They beat Poles in the draft last year, and probably again this year. The Raiders figured out almost immediately that Leatherwood is a dog.
