Considering I can't improve the Bears as I'm not a player or a coach or a GM, yes. It's enjoyment...Oh wait, I guess my opinions on this board REALLY DO incite change...
If I were a player, how is me tanking the season going to improve myself? If I were a coach, how is taking the season going to improve my coaching skills?
Seems to be a continued failure to grasp the concept that losing does not need to equal tanking.
Does a player HAVE to tank in order for the team to lose? I guess that if there is a continued will to equate losing to tanking on purpose, then I understand why you would not want it. However, I think that it has been said ad nauseum that losing on purpose is not what anyone wants. But I can also see how not accepting that makes it easier to defend your position.
Pointless conversation. Must have missed the ad nauseum posts you're referring to. On a Bears football board, when the conversation is no longer about the topic but rather the rhetoric of the poster, it's time to exit.

Some of the guys posting about losing on purpose were last seen ranting about how Pace needs to trade all his first round picks for 2nds round picks because he doesn't know wow to draft in the first. Welcome to the flip-flop world of the trolls.

Fine and dandy to say that, except the leader you all have fallen behind is on record as saying the Bears should lose on purpose. Motm has stated that he would prefer that the team lose on purpose. That alone (among other things) should be enough to get him banned from the board.
You think those of us that won't openly cheer for the Bears to lose don't understand the concept that more losses = better draft position? Really? I can accept the Bears losing because it means a better draft pick but I'll never root for them so lose a game I'm watching. Anyone who celebrated Bellemy dropping that pass should also be banned from the board.
Part of being a fan is balancing the short term with the long term. If it means losing in the short term for long term success I'm all in, I think everyone is in. Just don't expect us to support a movement run by a poster who open has stated that he wants to Bears to lose on purpose. Of course as is his want, it will be denied, but everyone knows the truth. I'll say it again, any poster who has openly posted that the Bears would lose on purpose should be banned from the board.

lol, no, I am not following anyone. It is my own position I was explaining. I have maintained this position for years. I only wish that the situation that made us Bears fan have to take sides on this would go away. We should all be wanting them to win. They need to get to a place where they are contending for the post season. That they have not been able to do this for years is embarrassing and it should simply not be tolerated by ownership.
