Big difference when one is on the field and the other is off the field...
With his poor performance this year and now this. His dream of top 5 money is dead..
Jeffery's performance by itself is not that bad this year. The performance of the offense as a whole is bad and that is affecting his stats. He's still playing at a pretty high level. Cutler had a shot at a TD with Jeffery but instead of throwing it up to the corner of the end zone for him to jump and grab he threw it low and behind him into a defender's back. That's not Jeffery's fault.
One frustration I had (among many) yesterday was that we had WR's wide open - and yet Jay was locked onto AJ like it was a stare-down contest. I think Jay lost his mind yesterday. It pissed me off.
The news didn't really upset me that much. I just kind of laughed it off. In a year like this what else can you do. Not much has changed for me. Each week I just look to see what players are working their butts off and proving they deserve to be starters on this team going forward. Beating divisional teams is all that matters.

This could make the off season turn into a real house cleaning, Cutler, AJ, Fox. Dunno but they could all be be shown the door.

Of course I can't blame Jeffery for Jay's tunnel vision but there is no reason to get shut down by a rookie CB. This is a guy who wants Julio Jones/AJ Green type money when he doesn't come close to that performance. Only 2 years of 1,000+ yards and that was when Brandon Marshall was here taking the heat away from Jeffery.
For Jeffery being on PEDs and playing this poorly is very disappointing...
On Monday evening, Jeffery released a statement via his Twitter account (@theworldof_AJ) asserting that his suspension had been the result of taking "a recommended supplement to combat inflammation."
"Unfortunately," Jeffery wrote, "this supplement contained an ingredient that was on the NFL's banned substance list. I take full responsibility and I'm deeply upset with myself for not doing the proper research on this supplement. I want to apologize to my family, the Bears organization, my teammates, and Bears fans. I will work hard to earn back the respect and trust of the Bears nation and look forward to being back on the field."
