Don't think it will matter. Cap is going up, he'll get 14 mill + regardless. He'll have incentive money tied to games played.
We will see how he performs after his suspension..
OK, we'll see. But history says it isn't going to matter. Players get signed to big FA contracts after being suspended quite often. Also to consider is if the Bears end of tagging him again. Then he's getting 17+ for next year.
This will not affect Jeffery much at all when it comes to getting sign. He's going to make the a lot of money next year for somebody and I still hope it's the Bears. There are a lot of things players get suspended for I don't consider this to be too huge of a deal when it comes to signing a guy long term. I would be more worried if it were something off field.
Teams give big dollar contracts to criminals. I doubt a PED suspension will matter
Big difference when one is on the field and the other is off the field...
With his poor performance this year and now this. His dream of top 5 money is dead..
Jeffery's performance by itself is not that bad this year. The performance of the offense as a whole is bad and that is affecting his stats. He's still playing at a pretty high level. Cutler had a shot at a TD with Jeffery but instead of throwing it up to the corner of the end zone for him to jump and grab he threw it low and behind him into a defender's back. That's not Jeffery's fault.
