The schedule has dropped. Let's make our first predictions on won/loss record. We can revisit this when we reach key milestones during the season, maybe after training camp and preseason and after each quarter. But at this ultra-early stage let's roll out our early predictions.
Here’s the schedule, which includes four prime-time games:
Preseason Game 1: Dolphins at Bears, Saturday, Aug. 14, noon (FOX-32)
Preseason Game 2: Bills at Bears, Saturday, Aug. 21, noon (FOX-32)
Preseason Game 3: Bears at Titans, Saturday, Aug. 28, 6 p.m. (FOX-32)
The Bears have the 3rd most difficult schedule in the entire NFL this season. Granted that's based upon last season's teams and of course teams will not be the same this season. Stuff changes. But it does look like a tough schedule in all probability.
The good news is that IF the Bears can be successful beating the best NFL teams in the regular season, then maybe they will be a strong playoff team. None of this "one and done" stuff in the playoffs.
LINK The Bears have the third most difficult schedule in 2021 And the #1 most-difficult schedule in the NFCN Division
Heading into the 2021 NFL season, the Chicago Bears have the third-most difficult strength of schedule. Their 2021 opponents combined for a win percentage of .550 with a combined record of 149-122-1.
Looking at the NFC North, the Bears have the most-difficult schedule in the division.

All this assumes: Rodgers is still in GB, and that no one on the Bears gets hurt. Also, I retain the power to revoke this at any time and pretend I actually posted a 4-13 prediction. Also...#nailedit.

I think best-case scenario is that we go 11-6 this season.
And yes, it's just a meaningless wild guess at this early point. But it's fun to toss an early guess out there anyway. We can re-do this at various milestone marks during the season. And maybe even do one just before our 1st game (after TC and the preseason is over).
