Like ya'll, I think it's a stretch. Like being laid out on the rack with mechanical levers and pulleys popping sockets stretch or a drawn and quarter stretch.
A slightly more plausible stretch - though also unlikely - would be, can the Bears reverse their record in the second half of play going 6-2 rather than 2-6?

Doubtful.
um..... yeah. That's the first thing that came to my mind also...
footballoutsiders gives the Bears a 4.9% chance for what its worth. They have the Bears ranked as the 15th best team in the league. OFF is ranked 13th, DEF 15th and ST 15th. They estimate the team should have 4 wins at this point.
So tell me honestly. Do you really believe that or are you just trolling for more debate about this? The majority don't agree with that approach and have bested your viewpoints about it at nearly every turn. Do you have anything new to add?
I love debating most anything but when I do as best I can I will present at least some acceptable facts and make an attempt to back it up. You're facts change with the wind from post to post depending on how you want to slant it this time and many have called you out for that. I have called you out for that too.
You can't have it both ways brother so take a stand, defend it, and stop flip flopping when it suits you to do it or let it go. Your own poll seeks opinions and those opinions are two to one against the approach you favor. You're continuing to again.
Posts like this with nothing more to add are useless simply baiting others for more debate with you in yet another thread. I don't look on them as worthwhile posts at all so either offer some reasoning to support this or stop just dropping one liners that simply express an opinion we already know you have just to raise this same issue again.
I honestly believe it. Always have in the other forum as well.
In my opinion, when the season starts you try to win every game until you're out of the playoff race. Everything after that has no real meaning.
Sure we have a shot to make the playoffs. Go 10-6 after all but realistically what is the possibility of doing that?
I rather the Bears get a top 5 pick and draft their future. Either draft another playmaker or draft Mitch Trubisky ( Who is my favorite QB out of this draft. Surprised how fast his draft stock is going off. Thought we had a shot in the 2nd with him )
You telling me you rather have a few more wins than a future franchise QB?
So what happens when you discover there is no franchise QB in this draft?
Then the Good Trade Down Fairy comes and rewards you with a trade down where some team gives you a 1st and a 2nd this year and a 1st and a 3rd next year for your pick. You can always trade down.
I want to see us beat GB and in a perfect world sweep Viks and Lions. If we can beat teams in the division, everything gets easier (drafting, playoff chances, FA).
I am more disappointed Fox wasn't fired after the Minn win.

I'm as optimistic as one can be, but it ain't gonna happen. We all know it. I don't even understand how Fox won that Minny game. It could have been his last.
After watching how bad GB and Det and the Vike's are, sure, but whoever wins this division(no WC is coming from the Norse) is going to be one and done.
Remember that the Chiefs started 2-5 last year and made the playoffs. It's possible especially with how bad the division looks overall. Here's a look at the division right now. Just look at the division records and that's enough to tell you the Bears have a chance.
If you asked me this on Saturday, I would have said the only chance the Bears had is if, during their Bye, the Lions beat the Vikes and the Colts beat the Packers.
So, yes, the 2-6 Bears now have a chance.
It will take a lot more losing by the rest of the division while the Bears somehow go, at least, 6-2 from here out.
