There is always at least 1 or 2 decent QB's in every draft, you just have to find them, and they have to fit w/what your coaches want the QB to do. What is the point of drafting a who is small and quick(rg3, wilson, bridgewater etc) if you are going to limit them to staying in the pocket for 3-5 sec's? What's the point of taking a traditional pocket qb if you want them rolling out all the time or playing option football?
So much of that matters. And imo I worry for the idea of a running qb in Chicago b/c of that SF turf. So while it seems like Watson might be a guy ala Mariotta that Pace might target, I question the very idea of it, the very field you play on for 8 games is going to neutralize that style for a good portion of the year.

I want a QB that can run when needed but prefers to stay in the pocket. I want a guy who is smart and can manage a game. I want the guy who can read a defense. Basically I want a QB like Rodgers.
Was ghosting another site and Windy said he thinks Watson has a lot of the same traits as Mariota, who Pace is said to have wanted to trade up and get so this could make sense.
I know which poster you mean Ric. WindyCity from CCS and another site knows his stuff. Wish he would join here. Would also like to see some posters from prosportsdaily. They are good too.

If there is a real good poster out there, maybe PM Alex or an admin here and then invite the guy to check us out. I know we're not all about big numbers here, but great posters are always good to have.
I have been reading about Garrett and his scouting reports, a hybrid freak athlete with the athletism of Clowney and Peppers combined and a better motor with complete focus. Me likey, me likey!!!
Granted he does not have the eye popping stats of last year but he has been injured this year.

Injury prone, cannot recruit an injured player; amiright motm
all kidding aside, get the best player available, if Garrett is there(not likely) when the Bears draft, and he's top on the board you take him. If there is a player rated higher then you take that player, etc etc.

Yea I would be really happy with Garrett as well. The only concern is that he is projected as a 4-3 DE, but then again so was Bosa and he is doing fine in 3-4 scheme.. Not sure if they play him as OLB or DE though.

One report I read stated Garrett could still bulk up to 285-290 and still retain his quickness/explosiveness. So DE might still be a position for him.

Could very well be true I haven't look that much into it yet. Gotta do something between FA and draft Would be really nice if we could have a Watt light or Mo Wilkerson/Calias Campell
