I have been to both the Dalmatian coast in Croatia and the Costa del Sol in Spain where malagabears lives (assuming his member name is accurate). Tough choice. Both really wonderful. Lots of crime in Spain but mostly in the big cities. Get to the smaller towns and some really beautiful laid back places. I expect the same is true in Croatia.

Yeah crime in Spain has spiked in the last 10 years to record levels. Even Málaga as Chuckster says has gotten a bit more violent but I still love it.

Well up here in Toronto which was called the 7th best city in North America to visit in 2016 from the New York times. We are at a grand total of 31 deaths by shootings by the 24th of this month. As well as Americans would get a great value with our exchange rate of like $1.30 American on our dollar O.o. BUT we have the Maple Leafs...so death by gun or death by failed hockey team...take your pick.
