Before Hoyers injury last night it almost looked like Hoyer was trying to force the ball into Jeffery's hands. Reminded me of Cutty and his laser beam eyes at B.M
Oh for sure, and that Jax game too, from the very start. I think AJ was pissed as hell because of that last throw vs Colts, so Hoyer better throw it to him
+1 In fact I wonder if Hoyer was flat told go to AJ if at all possible.

Isn't that what you guys wanted? Jeffery to be force feed?
I notice that with the Jag game and I notice it at the start of the Packer game. The fact people still say Hoyer ignores Jeffery is crazy...
He WAS ignoring Jeffrey. He never seemed to go to him. Not the case lately, but he just was not throwing to him
He WAS throwing it to Jeffrey. He was throwing it 10 yards to either side of him, or 5 yards short, which is the best he could do, so it only looked like he wasn't throwing to Jeffrey.
Say whatever you want about AJ , but IF he had a good QB throwing to him ( behind a solid o-line and other threatening players on O the D would need to pay attention to ) he would make plays . He gets injured a little too often and sometimes his attitude doesn't seem to come off as an 'all-in' dude ... but the level of talent he possesses is undeniable .
Great players can't be great w/o some help though .

Good point. At least it was in the same stadium, so his long range accuracy is getting better.
Don't bother talking sense and facts to MOTM when it comes to AJ...he just won't hear it. If he had it his way we'd go to the triple wing offense and not use any receivers. Apparently none are worth the money. Never mind the fact that market forces determine value, never mind that looking at "stats" doesn't tell the full picture of this season whatsoever... clearly every team that tries to sign AJ this off season for top 5 to 10 money will all be wrong and MOTM will be right...
Weren't you the same person that said Kyle Long would sit out for a new contract? That all players do it? Oh Long didn't...
Long sure showed Pace that he can sit out and get the contract he wants. Oh wait he didn't?
Funny you were a guy off season who wanted to use stats as a way to back your claim up. Now that it doesn't benefit you, you decided that stats don't show the full picture...
Ok....here we go. First off, I said a lot of players do it, not all. Secondly, Long didn't have to sit out because Pace didn't wait until Long was in free agency to handle his extension and Long wasn't slapped with the Franchise Tag. The two situations are night and day and if you can't A. See that, and B. Understand that...well this conversation may as well just end right now.
Next, one can use stats, thats not an issue, but give the full picture...which you do not. You use AJ's reception and yardage stats but never mention the fact his target share is down precipitously. One can't have a lot of catches and yards if they are not targeted. This season he has 44 targets through 6 games...last year in 9 games he had 94 targets. I'll let you do that math. And I don't want to hear about not having Marshall...because he's played and excelled without Marshall before...another convenient omission on your part. The FACT of the matter is we have...excuse me had, a QB unwilling to take any chances with the ball....unwilling to throw the ball up to AJ and let him make the plays he's capable of making...HELL...Hoyer wouldn't even throw it to him WHEN HE WAS WIDE FRIGGEN OPEN!!!!! Now...even with that shitty target share if you extrapolate his stats he's on pace for close to 1200 yards and about 8 TD's with one of the highest YPC in his career. So you see MOTM...WHEN YOU GIVE THE FULL PICTURE stats do benefit me. Of course that hurts your argument...so I wouldn't expect you to do that....either that or you just don't get it. Which one is it?
I going to CHURP in on this but will lead away from topic. Throwing the ball up to AJ leads to INT's, the more you throw it up to AJ, the more INT's your QB will have. So AJ gets his targets but then we move to QB sucks cause of the INT's. If AJ is being doubled, how can you throw it to him without bitching about your QB is throwing into double coverage when it's picked? If he's doubled someone else is open and you throw to them till the teams moves coverage over. Get what I mean I hope

First of all Long proved he was a great player. Going to his third pro bowl year in his 3rd year as a NFL player. Long was then forced under the 5th year option before a contract was made. Funny how you forget about that. Was Long happy about it? I don't know but he still showed up and played how he was supposed to. He seems to believe in team chemistry and I bet is helping Whitehair as he grows. Funny how Jeffery isn't around to help White out. Shows a different with class in character. Then he gets rewarded with a contract showing the team that if you come here first to help the team you get rewarded.
AJ since being here has 1 Pro Bowl and two 1,000+ seasons with Marshall taking the majority of the heat away. Long never had a Pro Bowl/HoF Oline helping him out. I find it funny how many here blame Hoyer for not targeting Jeffery yet if you look at the stats this year Hoyer has more games in which he targeted Jeffery more than Cutler. You don't want to admit that Jeffery couldn't break free of the depleted Packers DB. That he was shut down by the Texans DBs. The last two games alone he was targeted almost as much as 5 games. A #1 WR isn't supposed to get shut down.
27 targets in the past 2 games vs 31 the other games. In total of 58 targets already. So no his targets ain't shitty. They're pretty good in fact its just that he can't come down with the ball.
We will see his on pace performance. Seeing how we're playing against the Vikings and how they shut down a better WR, I don't have much faith in Jeffery pulling out. He couldn't even beat a 3rd string DB with the Packers.
