It could be true if Gase wants to make the POs. This might be his best Chance. He won't get a better QB than Cutler and Cutler knows Gase and his offense a bit. It would make sense, the Price wouldn't be that high. If we take Tannehill of their Hands, I'd expect a 1st to come with him for sure. If it's only the Player I'd be happy with a 2nd. If Gase is desperate, he might even give us a 1st for him.
Was I the start of this rumor? I said Tannehill wasn't working in the Dolphins system and it would be a good trade for the Bears(who need to move on) and the Dolphins(who feel they are a qb away); not to mention Gase's play calling seemed to fit Cutler.
Still feels like something throwing shit on the wall and seeing if it sticks. But it would be smart for both teams. I don't think it would be a simple QB swap though. But I don't know that you are getting a first and more for Cutler w/his hand injury; not sure you're getting a 1st for Cutler if he's healthy.
First, not sure if this is real or what the offer would be, but it's a tough decision. I think Cutler is better than Hoyer. But I am not excited when I say that. Just different shades of mediocre with both having the ability to be truly terrible, and one having the ability to be great.
At this point in the game, I do not think Cutler will ever be more than he has been in his career. So it's not that I don;t want to trade him because of his potential... He has always had potential and now I'm convinced it will never be realized. What is making me hesitate is just that we have no one better. Trust me.... when Hoyer flips the turrible switch, it is something to behold.
I think in the end though, Cutler is not going anywhere here and if we can get something for him, I'm finally ready to say trade him. If he prospers somewhere else, good for him and it is an indictment of our coaches if that happens.

If Cutler does well on a different team, I would blame Smith,Trestman, and Fox for not helping him.

I doubt there's much to these rumors but yeah I'd trade Cutler while you can get something for him. He's done here and we aren't in win-now mode this season at all.
