Chicago Bears Cody Whitehair among best rookies from 2016 NF

You and me both bud. I still don't think people appreciate what Long had accomplished last season. He had played T only as a backup a few games in college. For him to come in with no training camp and perform the way he did is incredible. Yes he was pretty mediocre at it but he was raw. Like when he came in as a guard with less than a year of starting experience. It took him some time to get going at a consistent high level. I fully believe that he could make a great RT with some more time.

He shouldn't be moved this year (especially given his shoulder injury) but if we still are looking at Massie starting after the off season they should move Long. Good guards are a lot easier to find in FA and the draft.

The guy could end up being an even better T than guard.  He does have the athleticism. 

He was a Prom Bowl tackle too... Long's name got him into 3 consecutive PBs. Right now, Whitehairs playing better at center than Long is at RG. I think moving him over to RT perm. would be a Massie[ve] upgrade. Hell, I think they should do it now. Larsen's a better guard than Massie is a RT.
