I see you left out Macks acheivements while listing Howards so I'll fill in the blanks:
Khalil Mack:
3× Pro Bowl (2015–2017) 2× First-team All-Pro (2015, 2016) NFL Defensive Player of the Year (2016) Butkus Award (Pro) (2016) PFWA All-Rookie Team (2014)
So I would be giving up a pro bowl running back, a top 10 pick and a 2nd rounder for a 3 time pro bowler, a 2 time first team all defensive player, an NFL Defensive Player of the Year, an All Rookie Team member, and a Butkus award winner. As well as a guy who had just under half his teams sacks in 2015 and 2016, and a third of his teams sacks in 2017.
Just because I didn't list them doesn't mean I'm not aware of them. You know I always do my own research and I'll stand pat. I would NOT trade Howard and our two top 2018 picks for him or any other single player......period.
And in this case after having given up half a draft for him we'd need to sign him to a long term deal that guarantees him $70 mil or more and averages $20mil a year. That's a very pricey shopping spree isn't it?
Tell me this. Where does our boy Floyd come into all this? He's supposed to be our Khalil Mack. Next spring we have to either excercise our 5th year option or extend his deal. If he wants a top ten deal for $14-$15 mil then what?
You're living in a dream world brother. Fantasize all ya' like but Mack won't be playing here.
I'm aware Mack isn't coming here...I think the whole premise of this is what you'd give up for him. Either way...it doesn't matter what Floyd is supposed to be. The Texans have JJ Watt...did that stop them from taking Jadeveon Clowney? The Broncos had Vonn Miller....did that stop them from acquiring DeMarcus Ware? The Raiders have Mack...did that stop them from acquiring Irvin? The cardinals had Markus Golden...they still acquired Chandler Jones(and paid him)

I think we all recognize the depth certain posters go to to research data regarding certain threads. At the end of the day this is still a message board and I think all of us know this is basically a pipe dream. The fact that a local Bears writer brought up the topic gave us something to chew on and discuss for a couple of days. I think pragmatically the most any of us would give up is 2 picks and some of us favored the staggered 2 year approach to giving up said picks. But yeah not going to happen. And the jury is still out on Floyd being the disruptive edge rusher we have dreamed about. He has shown flashes but has not put it all together yet.

I know but this is the Bears we're talking about. The ones with an owner who just emphasized Pace's need to build from the draft in lieu of spending big on UFAs. I'm doing more than just guessing about his willingness to OK a $120 mil deal with $70 mil or more in guaranteed money.
I don't think in premises either. Stormy Daniels isn't gonna be my dinner date on Saturday so there's no sense in ruminating on where to take her and afterward whether it's gonna be her place or mine. LOL

I get this too but I'm still too much of a realist to spend a whole lot of time debating what I don't believe will happen period. Ergo I shall opt out of this thread entirely. If I'm gonna fantasize I'm gonna do it about someone whose not a 6'3" 250lb pass rusher.
