Not that there are no other good WRs out there, but I see it the same way. Robinson or bust... And a nice bust is always a nice consolation prize...
No...not at all. Here's who I like thats available in order(and I'm open to flipping Watkins and Richardson):
Robinson Lee Wilson Watkins Richardson Taylor Gabriel Moncreif Inman Jaron Brown John Brown
To me if we need to get at least 1 of the top 4, and ideally two.
I'd say 1 of Robinson, Lee, Watkins Richardson +Wilson (I feel like the Bears have the inline on him w/Nagy) + one of those below, and I'd include Wright b/c I think Wright could be a pretty good WR for the Bears if he wasn't THE WR for the Bears.
Falls off a cliff to me after Paul Richardson. I like John Brown...never healthy. I like Taylor Gabriel...but he's Albert Wilson to me, I like Donte Moncreif physically...but he's done next to nothing production wise.
The more I've read and researched the more I like Richardson if no deal can be made with Robinson. He's a little smaller than I'd like to see but once he got a shot at starting he put up a year's worth of some pretty nice production. And if we have some bigger WRs like Meredith, White, and Inman (if he returns) it's not as if we lack size outside.
Moncreif has had to deal with a less than idea QB situation himself, and I like his size, but he's not all that different than those we have now unless Pace likes him more than say Inman and he decides to sign him instead. What about Marqise Lee? He's only 6' tall as well but a little heavier than Richarson. I'm sure JAX would like to keep him but he's not tagged.
Moncreif had Luck for 16 games in 2016 and was outdone by Philip Dorsett. I like Moncreif a lot...he just hasn't gotten it done. Maybe that changes with a change in scenery...but I wouldn't put all my eggs in that basket. I like Lee a lot...he's my 1b...Robinson my 1a.
People are way too high on Wilson too. He has yet to top 500 yards in a single season. It’s hard to make a case that he is a significant upgrade over what we already have. There are other WR’s out there that will help us out more than Wilson will

It's not that they are to high on him, but he's shown a really good fit for Nagy's O and he actually knows the system, which can only help the other WR's that end up on the team.

This. A coach always brings someone along to be their guy in the locker room and help spread the message. I can't think of a place that needs it more than that receiver group. Also he topped 500 yards this season, with 554.

Make that two yeses plus despite his size Wilson is more than just a slot guy. He can be used for gadget plays as well because he has good speed and runs well. Like Cohen he can score points quickly.
We signed Wright due to his familiarity with Loggains offense but he's no longer under contract and we're running Nagy's offense now which Wilson thrived in. Signing him makes a lot of sense to me.

OK; 1a Robinson, 1b Lee, 1c Richardson. LOL That's a decent game plan although I'd also go out and get Wilson and Trey Burton asap as well. Those two, one of the #1s, and maybe Inman to compete with White if he can be had without much guaranteed money would satisfy me for now then spend a mid round pick on another WR. Lots of bodies and lots of competition.

Yeah, thats basically where I'm at when it comes to receiver. And I think Wilson is a priority from everything you hear. Adding one of Robinson/Lee/Richardson plus Wilson, plus Burton is very doable with our cap situation(given the numbers don't get crazy)...and it would improve our offensive weaponry tremendously! I don't see the Bears spending a pick on a receiver this year, unlike a lot of other people it seems, unless someone falls and the value is too good in the mid rounds. Say like a guy like Gallup who I think has real upside or Pettis falls.

We think alike. While the media attention has been solidly on what WRs we'll sign or draft high I'm thinking more contrarian about a lot of other spots that need filling including LG which ranks right up there with WR in my book.
To that we can add edge rusher, CB, ILB, move TE and some DL and OT prospects.
