Personally, I think his days as a Bear QB is about over.
Yup, not piling on but the stage is about to be set for a tanking season with a very high draft pick. Perfect storm to get a quality future QB. HOw he develops if selected is a whole other kettle of beans.
It's nearly impossible to keep a QB healthy with the OL playing like a sieve and an OC calling plays that cluelessly don't recognize that fact.
I agree. I wasn't being critical of the guy for getting hurt. I do feel bad for him.
I do feel bad for Jay as well. However, I hope the Bears draft a QB soon. Personally I think his day as a Bears QB is just about over. Also if it wasn't for the contract, he would have been gone.

We may have seen his last game as a Bear. At best, he plays a few more garbage games late in the season and then is gone this spring. Trade him for whatever you can get and move on. I'm not blaming Jay entirely for last night or his disappointing tenure in Chicago (plenty of fault all around) but he reverted yesterday to his pre-Gase behaviors so there's no "new Jay" to wait for.
At this point, I'd be tempted to trade for Garrapolo rather than draft someone since I have little cnfidence in Pace's ability to judge top-10 talent based on what we have seen from White and Floyd.
If Pace wants to save his GM-ship (not looking too good at this point), he's gonna have to get a young talented QB on this team that give us some hope going forward. Right now there's little to be hopeful for.

QB and offensive line. Massie in particular doesn't look like an NFL-level player to me. I'm sure someone will post PFF grades saying I'm wrong, but he looked sooooo bad last night, and it wasn't just slowness. He repeatedly got bull rushed and looked like a bug hitting a windshield as he was driven back.

They're saying if Cutler has surgery he's done for the year. Looks like a top 10 pick again this year boys. I know Cutler has his haters, but the guy gets the crap beat out of him...I feel bad for the guy.
