Like I said, what could you get out of Arizona to go from #8 to #15 just that they can take their QB? Would they be willing to add a future 1st? Would it be 2x 2nd? Would it be less? It could be all of them 3. Would Buffalo go after Josh Allen at #8 playing outdoors? They have #21 and #22. That alone are 2 guys supposed to start. It'd be a huge drop and I'm sure you could squezze out more than that from them to finally give them their QB. Imagine #21/22 and a 2nd round pick or 2 3rds (2018 and 2019). Pace is Building a Team with the guys he picks and getting Talent that early and lots of picks will help them. The year we took Floyd, there was no run at QBs or QBs to get picked that high. It Looks like this year 4 could go in the Top15 with Teams in Need of drafting one. I'd gladly help them get their guy if they pay the Price to jump the other Team. Mahomes and Watson Deals are a good compareable, even Trubisky trade.
You have Mia, Cincy and Wash all needing qb's at 11, 12 and 13. But do any jump up into the top 5 to get their qb? Would it alreay be to late or would any of those teams even be willing to trade? NY, Den need qb's and are in the top 5, and Cle needs one and has 2 picks in the top 5, and the Jets could use a qb at 6. So even w/out trades the qb market could dry up quick; and it's already a weak class. The question then becomes, if 4 qb's are somehow go in the top 6, that means only 3 non qb's will have been taken, is there a player that dropped b/c of it that another team might need? Would a team that needs a OLB or DL or OT be willing to pay above trade value at 8 to get a top 5 prospect that fell b/c of the over draft of the qb's?
Guys I don't think they'll target for reasons of off field issues or lack of physical traits:
Arden Key: off field issues Calvin Ridley: possible thin frame only weighing 180 Harold Landry: lack of special physical traits
Ridley doesn't look special to me at all. He looks like a good WR for sure. But I would crap if they spent that #8 overall pick of the draft on him... I just don't see that level of talent there. And the talent difference between Ridley and the next few WRs seems non-existent to me. Ridley would be a reach at #8, IMHO.

really depends on what happens at the top, all the action could go to the top 5 or 6 teams as teams vie to get the QB they want. What's funny is this QB class isn't better then last years class, but b/c of the need teams might be willing to act like it is and be more active in trading up. If the draft has 3 qb's taken in the top 5 b/c of trades or whatever and the trade market for the first might dry up, like it did after the bears took Trubs this year.
that's the positive at #8 instead of #3/4. Will BUF or ARZ pay enough to move up THAT high? We'd be talking 2-3 1st round picks as Price to pay to move up 12 or 18 spots. We'd be talking 1-2 1st round picks and 2nd round pick to move up to #8. Much like KC last year going to #10. Not sure if all the Teams up there are going to take a QB. NYG and J will take a QB. They are desperate. CLE, not sure with Kizer and possibly trading for ASmith. Not with many other holes and Needs.

Cle trading for A Smith would be a really good get. Kizer could go back to backup and learning, and getting to watch a really talented NFL qb for a few years. really Den could do the same. It will definitely be an interesting draft to say the least. It will be fun to watch how it all shakes out.

I think all these trade down scenarios depend on how well or poor certain QBs perform at the combine. Rosen and Darnold are undoubtedly the top 2 QBs (that says a lot about this year's class if you ask me), then comes Mayfield. The rest of the class is mid-late rd material.
The only way we could find a trade partner is if Mayfield is considered a top 10 QB. However if teams like Buffalo or AZ feel like they can get their QB later in the first or even 2nd rd, why would they trade up and give away valuable picks?
Let's wait and see how FA and the combine go first.

I'm terrified of early OTs and WRs. I like the front seven talent this year, just no idea where guys like Vea, Payne, Ferrell slot and there's some very high ceiling prospects there who seem to be on the outside of the first looking in to the first. BPA is great and impact is first and foremost, but I'm all for a trade down to slot ourselves more comfortably for our targets and adding picks.

If there is a run for QBs before we pick, we'd be in good shape. 4 QBs and 1 RB would be gone and Pace can get his best DL, OL or secondary player

Random Thoughts:
(1) Everything is speculation until we see where the QBs fall out:
....not likely to hit the open market but....: Brees/JimmyG ....Going to be on the market (and are 'good qbs'): Cousins/ and someone from the Vikings Triangle: Bradford/Bridgewater/Keneen (all are FAs if I'm reading correctly) ....Going to be on the market and someone might grasp at a straw to avoid drafting one: McCown (who just won't go away) ....QBs you might get a trade or who be cut: Smith, T.Taylor
(2) There will be at least 2-3 QBs taken before the Bears draft @8, despite what all the expert with their draft videos say.
(3) Not having to draft a QB early is a huge plus on draft day. Pace/Nagy can go prospect digging with UDFA QBs and bring one to camp if they want. Bears will also at some point sign a backup unless they go with Sanchez (who also is a FA don't forget--he might have invented a new NFL position-- "Active Player and Assistant QB Coach"--He might be able to string this out for a new years on a different team each season.
(4) Talent will be there at 8. I'm not in favor of trading out of the first or even further down.

More random thoughts:
(5) 49ers use the nonexclusive franchise tag on JimmyG. Browns sign him and are willing to give this years first and next years first, leaving them with the Texans 5th pick this year. Wouldn't that throw everyone for a loop.
