I think what we may begin to see in the NFCN is more parity between the teams where no one team will dominate every year. I don't know that I'd say GB is getting any weaker as much as I'd say everyone else is getting stronger.
Well, GB will release Rodgers.. NFL rules, right?
Ha ha, yeah and Eric Clapton has nominated me to become the next Guitar God. LOL
Ok anyone else starting to get worried that we haven’t re-signed Vic yet?
A little; but really we shouldn't be surprised, Vic has no reason not to see what else is out there and what kind of money he can make, so now it's just a waiting game.
Bears remain in talks with Vic Fangio about a return Vic Fangio Bears defensive coordinator Vic Fangio walks off the field during pre-game warm ups prior to a game against the Steelers at Soldier Field on Sept. 24. (Jose M. Osorio / Chicago Tribune) Brad Biggs Brad BiggsContact Reporter Chicago Tribune Bears coach Matt Nagy and general manager Ryan Pace spent Wednesday in talks with Vic Fangio about a return as defensive coordinator.
Pace confirmed that in an appearance on WSCR-670 AM, so the team remains in the mix to maintain continuity on defense, something that would be beneficial with Nagy being a first-time coach who will oversee the offense.
Fangio will likely decide soon whether to return or seek a job with another organization. A prime landing spot for Fangio closed Tuesday when the Packers hired Mike Pettine as defensive coordinator.
The Bears don’t have to hire a coach with a 3-4 background because their personnel is flexible and Nagy isn’t married to a specific base defense. But bringing back Fangio would give him an opportunity to build of what is in place after the Bears finished 10th in total defense this season. Keeping Fangio would also increase the likelihood the Bears would retain multiple position coaches on that side of the ball.

Love to be a fly on the wall during those talks. Not sure what the stumbling blocks may be but he hasn't interviewed elsewhere and GB went ahead and hired Pettine. Defensive staff? Money? Control?
