It's been widely reported that the only reason Pace took the job w/Chicago was b/c he told them this enitre thing was a giant cluster F#*$ and he was unsure of taking the job unless he had a lot of time to try and reverse it and get it all corrected. His job isn't in any danger. He's probably got another 2 years before he's on the hot seat, depending on when he gets his next HC. My guess is he'll get 2 or 3 years after he hires his 2nd HC.
Where did you read that?
It was talked about rather extsensively a few times on radio by Bears analysts. Not sure if it has been written about. I know it was brought up on this board when I first heard about it. I know it happened during the season also.

How you could judge any O player based on playtime/ productivity is a mystery to me. Fox seems committed to hampering productivity of guys. Even Howard was not a starter last year until injury got him a shot. I was very pleasantly surprised Inman was on the field and saw targets last week, but even having legit outside receiving threats isn't helping open up the offense that has run its way to bland predictability.
it would be one thing if the team could average more than 21pts, but all this O seems designed to do is force a young QB to throw only when the defense and everyone watching knows it's a passing down. Not score points, not find matchups. Cohen is terribly under used and so is Shaheen around the GL.
The same vic beasely who only had 4 sacks his rookie year...and only has 4 sacks this year? that vic beasely?
Yes, the same guy who has been able to play more then 5 games in the past 3 years.
Nothing beats availability...
What good is availability if you don't do anything with it? Wow...he was able to suit up...great. 4 sacks his rookie year, 4 sacks this year....he was a top 10 pick. You're so hypocritical sometimes it's painful.
LOL...you claim he got lucky with Jackson...well then I'll claim he got unlucky with White. Had it not been for injuries White would have fulfilled his promise as a top 10 pick. Prove me wrong. Get the f outta here with that.
Thing is, if it wasn't for Jackson's injury he wouldn't of dropped to the 4th round.
With White its different. The dude was never truly a great wr. He had one good year at college using his size and speed. You can't do that in the NFL.
As we saw,
He can't create seperation He can't catch He can't even run routes
What good is a WR that can't run routes or make catches?
White was a horrible pick from the start who was only consider a top 10 pick do to his speed and height and not about his ability to play football.
Comparing the two is apples and oranges.
You saw that when? Has he been healthy enough to develop at all? Nope. YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT HE WOULD HAVE BEEN. And you can't use your size and speed to be great in the NFL? Seriously? What do you think Julio Jones does? What do you think Randy Moss did? What do you think Calvin Johnson did? What do you think Mike Evans does? What do you think Vincent Jackson does? What do you think Kelvin Benjamin(minus the speed), Dez Bryant, and Alshon Jefferey do?
You just don't know what you're talking about here.

I hope you believe leonard floyd has done nothing this year either with his 4.5 sacks.
Vic's 4 sacks this year is more helpful then all 3 years of Kevin White combine.

Floyd had more sacks his rookie year than beasely had...and yeah, when you combine Floyds coverage ability with his 4.5 sacks this year....he's done more than beasely has this year. Either way you act like Pace passed on LT.

Yes, and Beasley has more then triple his sacks his 2nd year. You're acting like they don't make Vic do other things either.
Reason I always bring up Beasley vs White is we took a position that is no where close to the value of a pass rusher when we needed a pass rusher badly to fit our new scheme.
White was a luxury pick.
Now we're at square one again.
Need a WR and another young pass rusher...
Pass Rushers are much more harder to find then a WR.

They are? If receivers are so easy to find...how come we haven't found any?
And no...Beasely doesn't do much else aside rush the passer. They tried last year to have him do some work in coverage...it didn't go well.

You got to look for them. Outside of Kevin White, he hasn't attempted to look for a #1 or #2 WR.
