14 points brother in todays NFL is not a good outing.
That's the bottom-line. If you can't score more than 14 points in today's NFL you are a bottom-feeder. The last 2 years we've been around 20 points per game. Not good.
There is plenty of blame to go around (players and coaches). I do believe the offense will get better overall, as the season progresses.
Very true which is why I said it would take 24 points to win that game very early on. That's the very lowest level that offense needs to be at because we will get into some shoot outs.
Jay had a QBR of over 140 in the first half and then the bottom fell out of the entire offense and pretty much left him scrambling to hold something together. Three times he made good throws to sustain a drive and three times his targeted receiver let him down. After that and following Houston's final TD we're down by 9 points with 6 minutes to go, they know he has to pass, and it's a jailbreak rush every down.
No QB can produce well with that much going against him in one half of football. All I can respond with is how many second rate NFL QBs can put up a 140 QBR in a half against one of the best defenses in the NFL?
When things go to hell like that in GB they blame the receivers and the OL. Anyone but Rodgers. But in Chicago it's always Cutler's fault isn't it? We only scored 14 points because Cutler didn't do better as if Cutler was the only one playing yesterday.
Hell, how many points would we have had if Hoyer was playing then?
But in Chicago it's always Cutler's fault isn't it?
I can't prove it, but I suspect Jay is to blame for global warming, my lawnmower conking out on me this past weekend & the potholes in our neighborhood :-)
On a more serious note, I figure some blame him for everything. Others act like nothing is his fault. I suspect the truth is somewhere in the middle of those two extremes.

There ya' go. Just like I said and you forgot about the Manson Murders even though he wasn't born yet. LOL
Like I said, I call 'em as I see 'em and Cutler gets no slack from me when he's played a shitty game and tossed two or three balls right into the waiting arms of defenders with crappy off target throws. But yesterday was not one of those games. So when some want to call him average or less than average and make him the scapegoat for only scoring 14 points, if that's their opinion I get to respond with some facts and the fact is we wouldn't even have had 14 points if not for the way Cutler played in that first half.
It is great to see ptisme here. And I thought Sitton was great against Watt...The look of frustration on Watt was a high point for me.
The truth of the matter with Sitton is I was required by the powers that be here to make Sitton a Bear ASAP or my registration would not be approved. I acted quickly and made it happen....

Ha ha......Next beer's on me.
You can pick the place. If it's been in Green Bay longer than 30 years I've probably been in the joint before. LOL

Sitton and Long stoned Watt and company in the first half. The tackles, particularly Massie, were a turnstile in the 2nd. That's pretty much the summary of how the OL played yesterday.
