What happens if we don't hit on our QB? I don't know if you realize this or not but this QB draft isn't something to put much faith in. If one of the top 4 QBs are in the late first just trade up to get him. All 4 QBs ( Watson, Kizer, Trubisky, and Mahomes ) are relatively close to the same skill set. One will be there in the bottom half.
Now let's focus on building a strong defense. Either get Thomas or Allen to have a great D-line or pickup Adams for a great safety and a guy who can change the culture of our team.
This "what if we don't hit in the QB" line is.... Well silly(to be nice). What if we draft 2, 1st round Tackles who are out of the league. What if we draft a CB who sucks and mysteriously missed a whole season. What if we draft a WR who hasn't come off IR. I could go on. The real answer is, the same thing. I would rather risk the most important position, but if we fail we get set back just as much as the rest of our drafting failures.
If we draft 2 1st rd Tackles this season it will be the shock of the draft. Tackle is not strong in this draft. Pace would need to get a brain scan.

How do I give 2 thumbs up?!? The good thing is this draft is DEEP as in one of the tougher drafts to predict the 1st Rd picks as the talent goes 3 rds deep especially in positions of need CB & TE (of course I don't know this, I'm just repeating what I keep reading - time will tell). In all likelihood there will be a QB other than those 4 that turns out to be better than half or more of them...the guy with the chip on his shoulder. Why don't the Bears ever hit on this guy? Because they don't draft enough QBs year in year out. If they go years not taking any QB they end up lessening their chances. Hence the Fales, Hanies, etc. Time to take a QB somewhere next year may be the year to take 2 QBs. It looks like a stronger deeper class than this years crop.
Go to bed Bill, you're drunk. The Bears traded up to #2 to get Mitch the Itch Tribisk

You may be on to something there. I took tomorrow off to celebrate!
