Problem is that I'm not confident in Fox or what he believes is going to happen
John Fox confident in Kevin White’s resiliency Posted by Josh Alper on March 29, 2017, 11:35 AM EDT Getty Images
The Bears said farewell to quarterback Jay Cutler and wide receiver Alshon Jeffery this offseason, which means they’re set to have a very different looking passing game than they have had for the last few seasons.
Mike Glennon is in at quarterback and the team signed free agent wideouts Kendall Wright and Markus Wheaton to catch his passes, but they remain hopeful that a holdover in the receiving corps can finally break out. Kevin White is that receiver and the 2015 first-round pick remains an unknown commodity after missing 28 of 32 games with leg injuries during his first two seasons.
White will be back for another try in 2017 and coach John Fox said on Tuesday that he remains confident that White will be able to bounce back.
“Obviously it’s not a great start to his career,” Fox said, via the Chicago Tribune. “I think he understands that greater than anybody. Because he’s been the one who’s had to deal with it. … I’m sure it has been frustrating. Anytime somebody is injured it’s frustrating for everybody — whether it’s fans, coaches, the player himself. But I think he’s a very resilient guy. That’s one of the biggest reasons why we drafted him. I think his makeup will prevail.”
Wright, Wheaton and Cameron Meredith (a team-high 66 catches last year) give the Bears some cover in the event that things go wrong for White again this year, but it would certainly be a positive development for Chicago if they started to get some return on a former first-round pick.

I on the other hand am VERY confident in Fox. I am confident to the extreme that he will screw this season up almost as badly as last year. Even with more depth and all the new supposedly better players.
But I can't say anything about what he believes. What he says may or may not be what he believes - he's so full of BS (I wonder if you could even make that much shit up!)

I'm cut to the core. To even think that you had any doubts about my capacity for shit hurts deeply.
I don't know how anyone can be confident of Kevin White after two years of being a bust. I'm kinda sick of hearing excuses for this kid. We drafted him at #7 and he hasn't perform once to his overall pick value.
He's just an unknown at this point. My gut feeling is that if he stays healthy this season he could be a very solid WR for us. Pace seems to be pretty good at drafting, and he felt this guy was worth the #7 overall pick of the draft, so there must be something good there.
It is unfortunate that he's had the left leg issues. Nothing, anyone can do about that now. He is only 24 years old. Moving forward I hope we see him looking like the #7 overall pick of the draft, that Pace saw in him. A stud.
If he does have more injury issues, then that would be heartbreaking. But a healthy Kevin White with Meredith and the others, would make for a solid WR corps. Let's hope the injury bug is gone now for him.
Thing is, it was Pace's first year and his draft class that year was horrible. I really don't see White coming back. How many WRs missed their first 2 rookie seasons and become a elite player later on?

I figure every player is unique. No two are exactly alike. Maybe White will end up being a bust, but it's just as likely that he will be fine from here out. It sounds like the talent is probably there with him. That left leg just needs to not break again, or any new injuries either.
