Howard is an animal. He is a heavy-load for sure. He looks good catching the ball too. Last night he put on a clinic. I think he may be our best RB, or soon will be. The guy is special.
Yep, once I saw his college game vids I really liked this kid. He's a bigger back like Forte but with a whole lot more power. He and Carey should make for a nice contrast with Langford.
Thats def. the word - powerful. He manhandled them Browns
Lasike may have done just enough to warrant the Bears keeping a FB and if that's the case I expect them to keep just 3 rbs and Quizz will more than likely end up the odd man out. Perry still has PS eligibility so provided he clears waivers he could be stored there for an emergency or they may find another RB after the cuts are made tomorrow.
For those who didn't see the game, here is the play that Lasike made.
For years I've wanted a back like the Porkers had in John Kuhn. That guy used to kill us on short yardage plays. Maybe we've finally got him. I'm worn out from watching us get inside the 5 yard line and not be able to punch it in and either settle for a FG or turn it over on downs like we did once last night. We need RBs who can score from there.

Key to RB's scoring inside the 5 is having an OL that doesn't get blown back 3 yards at the snap. Fix that and you'll fix the rb's inability to score down there.

It was beautiful watching him smash through the line...as long as it was not a Bears squishy line

In a zone scheme that shouldn't happen but they also have to block the gaps to prevent penetration. The perfect example of a well executed run play behind that kind of blocking was the TD Langford had in the Pats game. That's as pretty as it ever gets. He walked in practically untouched.

I really really wanted this guy in the draft after reading his scouting reports. I'm actually starting to think we might be able to convert some 3rd and 1s this year!
In past seasons I used to hold my breath and try not to look at the horror show that was our short yardage and goaline game. It usually ended with Forte for a TFL.
