If this had a chance at being true and happening should we get in on the action? Or should we hope we finally get a draft break and Garrett somehow falls to us because the Browns trade their 1st or some combo of the 1st to get Cousins and the 9s draft Trubisky? Not much else but this could have a dramatic ripple effect on our draft position or QB future. Discuss Pilgrims.
If we got him, I hope that it would be for a short term veteran solution (as some would like to see with Romo). I certainly would not want Cousins in lieu of a young stud QB. But I like him in that role.
I would LOVE for the Browns to trade for him because it's such a Browns thing to do. The Bears should not even consider trading for Cousins. He's had a great two years there but he's not going to be worth what it's going to take to get him. He's not some amazing QB, he's just above average.

Right there would be the devil in the details. I agree. He is above average, but certainly not a franchise QB. He would work great here IMO for the purposes of a bridge with a new QB. However, if his price is too high, it would not make sense for us. And yeah.... he is a semi-successful QB in a QB starved league, so he could be over priced for us.
But he is a guy I would consider if the price was right.
