I don't think it changes anything. There was already a chances that Garrett and Allen would go before the Bears. We just keep having the same conversation.
I keep thinking we don't know Pace's draft rankings. His draft board is the only one that counts and it could be surprisingly different than what we assume it to be.
If this deal were to happen and Allen and Garrett are gone who do we pick?
First, I'll say, I feel bad for Anthony Lynn, Ken Whisenhunt, and the Chargers staff. They made these moves with the thoughts they would have a vet franchise QB. This could get messy... Hey, you want Cutler? Lets do some sort of three team trade, haha.
But to your question, I have seen a mock with Garrett and Barnett without this rumor. I'm not sure who any team truly likes, but what we know is this is a defensive top heavy draft. I am starting to choke on the Watson kool-aid, but this trade would just provide the Bears a greater opportunity at taking the first QB... or not.
The boring part about this off season is that we pick third. There are only so many possibilities with that pick.
I keep thinking there are over 250 division 1 teams (FBS & FCS) and over 18,000 scholarship athletes playing football each year. The very "best of the best" will be drafted this year - and we get the #3 pick. And the #3 pick in every round in the draft.
That seems pretty cool to me. Major cool. I do get pretty pumped about that. Pace will get us some studs this year. But his draft chart may not be what we assume it to be. There could be a surprise there.

Agreed. If Pace keeps his batting average up, we're in for a great draft.
I have to point out though that after the first round we alternate 3 and 4 with the Jags. So round 1 we're #3, Round 2 we're #4, Round 3 back to #3 and so on.
