We were in the Position to win more games and we weren't prepared to. We made mistakes in the execution of the Plays and we made mistakes in being put in the wrong Position. That's on the Talent and on the Coaching. Here is the Problem... we were worse than last year and we've had injuries the year before.

There are names on the IR most won't even know.
There were a lot of guys starting for us who most don't know. And you can quote me...it's ok ya know.
It's still excuses. Other Teams miss Starters too and we were a better Team than 3 Ws
It matters when the talent sucks even before the injuries begin, and the depth players are not what other teams have. This isn't the Patriots where people on the bench could be starters on some teams. The exact opposite is true. We have starters who should be backups. And that is before the injuries happened.
I have posted for years that injuries happen to all teams. But in fairness, not to the extent we experienced this season. And I am not just talking about IR players (although that was epic too) but serious injuries in general.
Then on top of all of that you lump in the fact that this is a team that was nuked when Pace arrived, with the consequences of having a roster of new/young players with zero chemistry to begin with - well this isn't "other teams" by a long shot.
Stop making excuses every year when we are in the cellar. Find ways to fix it!
Bears spent millions renovating Halas Hall, but they have a practice field that players called attrocious?
Bears are a huge part of the Chicago landscape, you telling me they cannot get the Parks Department to keep the field at Soldier Field in top notch condition?
Why are they having these issues in the first place?
Making excuses for Alshon not being there in the OTA's and saying they are sure he will come in in shape. Funny how he got busted for PED's after "working out on his own".
You get tired of hearing the same old crap, year after year. "Ah, we are just missing a couple pieces!", "We expect a huge improvement from -insert players name here-!", We still feel that when players a,b,c,d,e and f come of rehab they will be just what we need them to be!"
Funny thing is, other franchises cut these players that cannot finish a season, regardless of where they were drafted. And the funny thing is, it seems it is always the Bears giving these injury busts a shot at making their team. Why is that? I think it is a serious flaw in their player development program. Stop the reclamation projects! Build new and move on!
Marquiss Wilson needs to go, nice kid but cannot play in the NFL, he is better suited to the CFL. If White does not play in 16 games next year it is also time to say goodbye.
Bears have cap space, so franchise Alshon again or give him an encentive laden contract to show he can stay on the field. He doesn't play in 16 games next year it is adios.
Teach the young players how to tackle so they do not miss games do to concussions! I thought the NFL was the central sponsor of " Heads up Football!" SO they do not practice what they preach? Floyd is never going to meet his potential if he keeps getting his head rocked! This ended Hunter Hillenmeyers career early, bad tackling form rattled his brain. This has been a problem with the Bears for years now.
They talk about changing the culture in Halas Hall, but to be honest I am hearing the same rhetoric that has come out of their mouths since they hired Lovie Smith and replace Jauron.
Going to replace the losing culture with a culture of winning. They managed it for about 4-5 years, then back to the bottom.

No matter how we feel about these issues we will probably see this upcoming 2017 season as the watershed year for the team. I think most people wanted to give Ryan Pace and John Fox 3 years to rebuild the Chicago Bears.
This is that 3rd year. 3rd draft. 3rd year of free agency. 3rd year of Fox coaching this team.
It will be interesting to see what happens. I think we may very well end up pleased with the team we have in 2017. And I can't imaging another year of injuries like this year happening again. In 55 years of watching the Bears I have never seen an injury year like 2016. I don't think lightening will strike twice. Injuries will happen but more like a typical year. So it's all on Pace/Fox to deliver something good here.
I'll bet even Cutler will be gone this year. LOL, we'll all have to find something/someone else to complain about :-)

JJ couple of things...either fortunately or unfortunately this is not the same game you played. Their practices come nothing close to resembling the practices you went through. They have a limited # of padded practices during the season, 14 total to be specific. You can only practice tackling on pads so much. And why didn't Floyd learn how to tackle in high school and college?
As for the rhetoric....well yeah...but should they stop trying to replace a losing culture? I mean what exactly should they do there? You can say they haven't been effective in doing it, but I really don't get what they're supposed to say here. Wilson can play in the NFL, he has the ability, he just doesn't have the ability to stay healthy...I doubt that changes in the CFL.

Even my old drill sergeant would have said "Okay, you're excused," to this season. A rebuilding team will always get hammered far more than an experienced team. There isn't any "next man up" because you have a bunch of guys who only have a limited time in the systems and the league.
Our DBs were all first and second year guys for the most part. Porter was the only veteran out there and he was clearly playing gimped.
Goldman is our only solid NT and when he was out the replacement was always a massive drop in performance.
We were using our 4,5,6, position WRs as our 1,2,3, positions WRs throughout the season and sometimes all three backups at the same time.
We lost one our Pro Bowl guards after playing hurt up to that point.
We started 3 different QBs throughout the season after losing our third string QB in preseason.
You can't expect that mix to result in good consistent play.
