Injuries; Legitimate Excuse or Not?...............

Yes injuries to key players have a lot to do with it. I am not sure any team can absorb the amount of injuries we have had. Here is the issue, we have these injuries every year. It has been the same story for 3 years.
We are relying on the same injury prone players. Eddie Royal, when heathy was a good player. When he was returning punts I thought "why have this guy get more abuse if you are relying on him in the slot? Zach Miller, always hurt. We have a few others too.
If we hang on to injury prone guys they will get injured. But why have we had a huge rate of others getting hurt? Something is not being done right. This much bad luck, annually, is odd.

The fact that they were down to Barkley is enough to say it is a legit excuse...add in the Wr's and it becomes even more of a solid excuse.

Does this mean i support Fox and want to have his children? no...Just means i actually want to see a solid year of minimal injuries before i start casting my stones.

Thats nice and all...but what this article fails to take into consideration...because they don't have the knowledge to do so, is how those injuries impact the decisions one has to make as a coach. The "author" assumes the players who replaced the injured players can do or perform exactly how the players they replaced can. Except that this is real life and it doesn't work that way.

injuries are excuses... but every team deals with injuries. Some more than others, and the more you have the worse you will be. But with good depth you can withstand injuries. Refs, injuries... all just excuses for losses.

All reasons are excuses, but not all excuses are reasons.
