Does that uncertainty move ILB up on the draft/FA needs/wants lists?
I like what I've seen in Kwiatkoski so far. IMHO the only thing he lacks is more game experience because his tools are good and his instincts are top shelf. The guy we need to upgrade is Timu. He's a decent ILB but very limited and would probably make a better two down run stuffer in a 4-3. He's a better fit for another team I think.
ILB is another position we need to keep drafting and/or look for UFAs from other teams coming off rookie deals who may be a better fit for us than they were elsewhere. Guys who are the reverse of Timu.

We need an inside-out Timu. Hope Fox knows enough to pass that onto Pace!

Probably some . But I'm excited about Kwaitkoski . I think he'll hold the fort just fine , enough that Trevathan being out , won't be that significant a reason for games we lose . Hell he could become the next Doug Buffone .
Agreed. Hunter Hillenmeyer wasn't too bad a replacement behind Urlacher, and I like Kwiatkoski better than Hunter. We should be okay without going too crazy addressing the ILB position this year, especially with so many other needs.

What are you talking about!? Haven't you heard? We are closer then you think.

Sure, I heard we no longer need any new OL guys, so we are closer than I think, LOL. Yes, needing 10 guys is closer than needing 12, so you're right, but 10 is still a lot of needs.
disclaimer: I didn't count how many guys I think we actually need, I just pulled a number out of a hat.

Even if he can fully recover, will he ever play like before the injury? Is it worse than Houston's two ruptured ACLs over the past two years?
Yeah, look at Victor Cruz. Him playing like he played before will solely be a mental thing. Thats the biggest hurdle when it comes to these injuries...mentally trusting that you can make that cut, that you can make that quick stop and go.
There's been a lot of new studies about how the brain changes after a knee injury. People stop trusting their instincts and rely more on visual cues because they don't trust the strength of their injured knee. From a physical rehab perspective, yes it's worse than Houston, mentally they are both the same.

Welcome to the club
In college there is BS, MS and PHD (Bull Shit, More Shit and Piled Higher and Deeper). I made it to the More Shit level. How, you might ask? By making shit up of course. And lots of it. But I'm just a common run-of-the-mill MSU. You sir, are the Dean, the Master of MSU, and should maybe be an MMSU or something.
Trolls like HHM and his crew make shit up all the time, just to be dicks. That doesn't qualify as MSU, even though there is an MSU in how I refer to them... duMSUmbitches.
There is a more well known case study of the brain after an ACL tear in Chicago called Derek Rose
LOL! How could I not have posted that one! But yeah...thats pretty accurate.
I've never torn an ACL or anything, but I can see how that happens. I broke two toes stepping into the shower a couple years ago. I still go real slow and take extra care when lifting my second foot up and over the tub wall. The first foot, no, that goes in as usual without thought or care.
