Yeah...I'm gonna seriously disagree. I don't see a lot of wins coming from teams starting practice squad DB's, QB's who were out of the league for a reason, TE's who nobody has ever heard of and receivers/return men who have dropsie problems. Thats just me though...I guess I'm overly pessimistic.

In other words... Tell Fox what he has to do or fire him. Great idea.
This Team has had more Talent than 3 Ws, but securing the ball wasn't what Loggains wanted.
It does?
You think a half season of Bennett & Shea vs. Freeman & half a season of Miller is less Talent?
You know what was less Talent and worse? Frodo Loggains compared to what Gase did. You know what was worse? They haven't played a whole 60 minutes as Team. Have you seen that last TD for the Skins against us? What has Fuller done? Some just quit.
Fangio should be the only safe Coach and I can't wait to see him leaving while Frodo stays and we bring in Romo.
We go into next season knowing we fire Fox after it unless a miracle happens.... great, why should we do this again?

For starters, you're not giving the full picture. And Fuller hasn't touched the field this season...among MANY others who BARELY touched the field. And if the defense quit...why should Fangio be safe? Why does he get a pass?
Further...we're not bringing in Romo, and he wouldn't come here to begin with. Why would a 37 year old, oft injured QB come to a team who realistically isn't likely to compete for a Super Bowl?
These were the starters for the Redskins game(and not all of them finished the game):
Matt Barkley QB - wasn't in the league in September Jordan Howard RB Cameron Meredith WR - undrafted free agent Alshon Jeffery WR Ben Braunecker TE - undrafted free agent rookie Logan Paulsen TE - undrafted free agent who didn't play last year and was cut in September by the Redskins Charles Leno LT Josh Sitton LG Cody Whitehair C Ted Larsen RG - 4th team in his career Bobby Massie RT
Mitch Unrein DE - solid rotation guy but nothing special at all Akiem Hicks DE Leonard Floyd OLB - concussed again Willie Young OLB Jerrell Freeman ILB Nick Kwiatkoski ILB - 4th round rookie Johnthan Banks CB - on his 3rd team in 2016 alone Bryce Callahan CB - undrafted free agent who's been cut, I think twice, by this team Tracy Porter CB Adrian Amos S - 2nd year player who has not played well at all Deon Bush S - 4th round pick who's been a healthy scratch most of this season
I'm sorry...I must be missing all the talent that should have led this team to more than 3 wins. Now...keep the team that was supposed to start the season healthy, and add some key players and I think next year will be quite different.

We've had 4 draftpicks playing on the field that beat what we've had before or replaced some guys that weren't that good to begin with (at least other than Flyod). Meredith beat out a guy we liked last year with Mariani and he looked better than White.
I still don't see why Fox should get a pass. He got new Talent and he's good some good guys.

We could go round and round in circles man. I refuse to expect wins from a team starting a 4th string QB, and a host of nobody's at a lot of other positions.

The "meat" of the article could be summed up here and I can even agree with this approach. It's time to put a harness on Fox and not the other way around.
The ultimate answer is that the not-so-foxy Foxy should return … but only under a couple of conditions.
One is that he does what has to be done concerning the two coordinators working under him. - step #1 on reckoning day.
First, if Fox has a problem with Vic Fangio on the defensive side, someone better tell him he shouldn't. - absolutely
Second, if Fox doesn't have a problem with offensive coordinator Dowell Loggains, someone better tell him he should. - agreed
Head coaches can be stubborn. Sometimes someone above them, a McCaskey or a Pace, must dictate what needs to be done. - if we thought Lovie was stubborn this old bird could give Lovie some lessons in it
If Fox refuses, fire him. - now we're rehashing the end days of his last HC gig and that is much of what I've been posting about too
If Pace is ever gonna own this team and prove that he doesn't need a senior level overseer now is the time to speak strong and hard or lose that right for good. Fox tried to shade John Elway with some of this same "fox trot" stuff and Elway made it very clear who actually ran the Broncos and who simply had the privilege of coaching them.
That meeting ended with announcement they had mutually agree to part ways. I think the only mutual agreement they had that day is that Fox would receive the balance of what was owed him as his severance and that they'd call it that to save face for Fox and the team. Now it's Ryan Pace's turn to do the same and if he retains him put Fox back in his box.
I like this approach, but I would add...
Third, if Fox doesn't have a problem with Special Teams coordinator Rogers, someone better tell him he should.

I don't know why people make this so difficult.
If he is retained give Fox everything he wants for next season. If the team is still bad fire him with a clear conscious as all the decisions were on him. If the season goes well it was primarily because of his choices and we can keep him with a good degree of confidence going forward. Fox isn't some young coach who might not know how to handle certain organizational things like whether to fire certain coaches or not. He's a veteran and should know where the blame lies. So let him do whatever he thinks is best.
As the expression goes, give him all the rope he needs to hang himself. The rest will take care of itself.
Not gonna create another thread but it seems Fox is backtracking on his notion he is coming back. Now he is not sure. That means his status is "Day to Day".
