I believe we were given a great QB here with a sky-high ceiling. The Bears have failed this kid. You gotta wonder if he is getting some permanent damage lowering that ceiling. To me it feels more like the Fields situation than Trubisky. But regardless, the Bears are doing "Bears things" with yet another 1st round draft pick QB.

Forget Mitch, JF was better. But I still believe in CW. We will see
I believed in Mitch, Fields and now Caleb. Ex-Bear Corey Wootton said after the game that the Bears have had a lot of quarterbacks and they couldn't all have been bad. I believe that. I do 100% believe you can break a QB with permanent damage - and they never ever reach their ceiling potential in the NFL. The Bears have had over 40 quarterbacks who have under-performed here. Right now it's Caleb's turn in the barrel and the Bears are failing him. It's what they do to quarterbacks here. We have all seen this movie before and we know how this always ends. It is not a happy ending.

That was one of my arguments for JF too. CW has a lot of upside but the Bears are very focused. I think they can erase that enormous potential in just one season where it would take other teams several seasons.

+1 There is no point in drafting any more QBs here. Sign a cheap vet and continue the crappy offenses. I'm serious, and not joking. What's the point? Right? The Bears do not know what to do with a high-ceiling draftee QB1.

Quotes like "Mitch was never this bad" are the perfect reason why rank and file meatball fans should never be permitted to give an opinion about this team.
They should stay at the Buffalo Wild Wings where they belong, go into the bathroom, fantasize about the waitress who made eye contact with them, and think about the 7 step parlay they made on their betting app that has a 1 : 1,000,000,000,000 chance of paying off.

Part of me wouldn't be upset if Caleb missed two games because of something mild like an ankle and Bagent got some reps.

I was thinking the same thing.
Even though CW is playing poorly right now, he is more talented than Mitch and Justin combined as a passer. He needs a competent OC and a better OL and he will be fine.
Let me say this for the 754th time:
MITCH AND JUSTIN SUCKED AND NEITHER OF THEM ARE EVER GONNA BE FRANCHISE STARTERS

I was also on the keep JW and build the team with a trade down and a plethora of high picks. It didn't happen and CW has talent. Whether or not he will still have talent by the end of his first year Bears QB "development" regiment is anyone's guess. But what's done is done.
