I know this isn't Bears news but it does affect the Bears. Vikings QB Teddy Bridgewater sustained a knee injury in practice. Reports make it sound like it's not very good news, possible torn ACL. Vikings were in contention to win the division again this year and were looking good in preseason.

theres NFC North injury reports in 'NFL board', but here is fine too. real bad news for Viqueens

Oh crap we just picked up a CB who has been faking injuries to no play for Cleveland. So untill he is cleared of his imaginary or real bone spurs we officially have yet another injured CB...

ah... so now I see what 'ol Fox means by a non-legit injury.
Check out the separate thread I posted on McPhee's injury. The thinking now is that he underwent micro fracture surgery back in February not just a simple scoping to "clean up some issues". This is a completely different deal with a much longer rehab period and much higher incidence of failure. I linked some info on it in that thread.
yeah, I saw that the conjecture was microfracture surgery, but I was not able to piece together where that came from. Was there something said about a microfracture or is it just guesswork? White just came back from Microfracture, so McPhee wanted one too I guess.
I'd admit to it being more guesswork on my part but when you begin to fit the pieces of the puzzle together it has the look of it. Anyway, the puzzle itself looks little like the photo on the box it came in when we were sold and bought it.

It is all guess work. The only other surgery he could of had was a meniscus repair. Most players just get it removed or clipped. The recovery is weeks for a removal and months for a repair. Repair heals longer but your knee will last longer. Removal has short recovery but it will slowly go bad over years.
That's another possibility but I thought McPhee has arleady had a knee surgery and if that didn't help long term it may be as you suggest and the meniscus has been removed or it could be micro fracture to allow better circulation so it will heal or both. I admit that I don't really know.
