Its amazing how often we see shit like this. Esp from football coaches and politicians.
When you eff up, admit it and promise to do better. When you deny it and try to CYA, you look either incompetent (you don't even realize what you did wrong) or stubbornly arrogant (refuse to accept responsibility).
Flus looks like an absolute idiot saying what he did. When he gave that interview, the interviewers actually chuckled in his face. The players know he's FOS. Almost immediately he got called out by Kmet, JJ, Byard, and DJ Moore. These guys aren't some disgruntled malcontents stirring up trouble -- they are all stars and vets and respected captains.
Flus is losing his grip on the locker room and deservedly so.
