I don't think there is any real value for VJJ, just like Davis. Both showed they have no value on the field which is why both are inactive. If they could offer a package deal and get a slightly higher pick out of it though, more power to them. Just not sure who they offer.
I wouldn't trade Allen, first and foremost, if a team is needing a WR b/c their wr's got injured the interest in Allen for those teams will be low. second it appears there is a comfort level growing between him and Williams. Allens body control and understanding of where to be, and look for the ball is the best on the team right now; his tape/experience will help the entire WR room.
VJJ and Davis have little trade value. Its obvious Flus hates Davis at this point. It's also obvious the team is done with both these guys. Neither of them will play a snap the rest of the years unless there's a rash of injuries.
Maybe you could get a 6th for a 7th with trading each of them. Is that worth it? For Velus, I'd take anything cuz we have depth there. For Davis, if you're happy depth-wise with Bates and Borom getting close, then sure dump him.
Keenan Allen should be kept IMO. He won't be re-signed so he is just a rental for this season to help Caleb get off the ground and take the heat off Rome to produce right away.
You and Ric are probably right about it all. And your best point is that Keenan Allen is good support for Caleb's first NFL season. As much as I'd like a team to get crazy and offer a nice draft pick for Allen, when I think it over it's most important to have him for helping Caleb's successful transition to the NFL game. This 1st season's development of Caleb is more important than anything else this year.

I am not for trading him. He will help CW both as a receiver and as a stabilizing veteran influence

There is no way I'm trading Keenan Allen and I'm starting to change my mind on extending him; I think they should. Let's see what the price is.
If Hopkins is being traded for a 5th that can become a 4th, it shows there was no market for Allen. Thinking the Bears could get a day 2 pick is a crack dream.

KA has lost a step but he is still an elite route runner with soft hands. We paid a 4th for him before the season so what would someone give for 1/2 a season? Maybe a 5th?
Not worth it IMO.
Since Tyler Scott is apparently in the doghouse and not getting any snaps, I we need KA around to have 3 reliable WRs.
BTW, MHJ is struggling to get going with the Cards and Murray. They guy is a ridiculous talent but it shows you how MOST rookie WRs don't light the league on fire right away. That's why I am not worried about Rome (who is outperforming MHJ so far) and its nice to have KA around so Odunze doesn't have to produce big right now.

Yeah, I agree. And I'd add that Rome has an ideal veteran presence here to learn from.

If Hopkins was had for a conditional 5th (could be 4th), I don't think Allen would bring in more than a 6th conditional to a fifth and thats me MSU. Its telling to me (and I am not privy to calls to and from Poles so again, this is MSU) that there were no national rumors about teams calling about Allen. Tells me there was no market for him. None.
And I agree 100% he's more valuable to the Bears as is, even as a one year rental. Average WR drafted in the round of the pick they traded for him wouldn't match what Allen does this season in his whole career.

This touches on it.
Rome is WR3 behind two potential HOF WRs. He’s also done well in the limited action he’s had.
A WR drafted at 9 would be WR1 on a few teams . Rome is arguably 4 behind Moore, Allen and Kmet. Swift is also good at the passing game too.
