Mahomes poor performance this season and having his worse yet against the 49ers with no #1 WR, #2 WR, or #3 WR as well as a aging TE. Shows you how important having weapons for your QB is. We can cry about not having an oline. WRs are just as important.
Chiefs have some of the best oline and defense in the league. Mahomes is struggling who is a Hall of Fame QB btw. Sure they won but let's not forget Mahomes is also a Hall of Fame QB.
haven't watched a single KC game this year so no opinion.
Kelce is there right, and the primary WR and the 2nd option is hurt right? You really think a well built team have so much depth at the WR position as to lose 2 of it's top 3 threats? Name the team, it's not chicago.
Bigger question, whens the last time the KC OL was bad, like bottom 20 in the league bad. QB and OL drives the O, not the WR/TE's. When the OL is in good shape you can use FA/Draft to draft Wr's/TE's.
His WR1 is out and that's definitely hurt Mahomes. He has not had a Mahomes level season so far at all, and has thrown 8 ints this year already. But on the other hand the team is unbeaten at 6-0 - and Mahomes is still passing at a nearly 70% completion rate (well into the top-10 in the NFL). I think that is a good example of a team that is built to be successful and resilient. And it is an example for fans, that QB's are going to struggle at times, even the best. You don't necessarily need to "fire everyone" and cut players when this happens. When our rookie QB1 struggles this season in some games (and he will) it doesn't he is a bad quarterback. Here is what Mahomes had to say yesterday:
"Mahomes, with two interceptions and no touchdowns against the San Francisco 49ers, has eight picks and six TDs this season. But the Kansas City Chiefs remain undefeated at 6-0 after beating the 49ers 28-18, and Mahomes said that's a testament to the team built around him. "I just don't think it's normal for what you've seen from us because it's not a lot of passing touchdowns,'' Mahomes said. "There's been a lot of turnovers, especially by me. I think it's just showing the versatility of our team."LINK

Mahomes frankly hasn't been all that good this season so far. It's amazing KC is undefeated. Their defense is probably the best they've had in years though--even years they won the SB.
There's no question Mahomes needs help at WR if they want to 3-peat.

Again name a team that could lose their top 2 at any position and not need help at that position. No team has a #3 and 4 that could step in and be 1 and 2, you don't have any team that have a 3 that could become a 1. It's a silly take, and a dishonest take on what I was saying. KC HAS options for Mahomes, they are hurt.
No team has this type of depth at any position. Lose your top 2 DB's, same issue, top 2 OL or DL, same issue. This isn't new, the Bears have dealt w/this for seemingly a decade, it's not that they have a lot injured, but injuries that stack in one or two positions.
The problem w/the Bears in the past wasn't depth at WR, it was quality their 1's and 2's were 2's and 3's (sometimes not even that) and they had no TE to compensate. Now the Bears have a #1 TE that is capable of being a #2 receiving threat, a true #1 WR, a true #2 WR a rookie that can be a true #1 WR(wasteful as you already have a #1) and brought in a TE that was supposed to be the #1 receiving TE....all while ignoring they have a trash OL that doesn't allow the QB the time to properly use ANY of those options; unless they are playing an equally bad def(jax/car). Hurray for depth, what's Rome done that helped, what's Everette done that helped. They aren't active parts of any gameplan g/c you have to feed DJ, Allen and Kmet.
Great Rome will be useful next year when Allen leaves, does that mean they need to replace Allen and a #3 instead of fixing the OL, gotta have oodles of options right? the OL is fine, it's merely only one of the worst in the league, we'll worry when it's 40th out of 32 teams, just need bodies in front the qb, haven't seen how that can ruin a team or QB. dumb lazy stupid way to build a team and Poles is going to find out when this OL gets eaten alive by the North's defenses built to stop high powered O's.

Kelce only had 2 good games this year. Other than that. He's regressed a lot. Which is understandable. He is 35 years old.
Let's not kid ourselves and say the OL is the reason they're good. That defense is one of the best in the NFL right now and even then, there has been some questionable calls by the refs that benefited KC in ways to allow them to be undefeated.

again i didn't say why they are good, i said i haven't watched just asking.
You didn't answer my question, name the teams that can lose their top 2 WR's and replace them w/the other WR's. I'm waiting b/c that's your argument. You are claiming the Bears, and other teams can replace losing their top 2 WR's to injury and are set up to have the 3 and 4 step in and the team won't struggle. List all these teams.

Their offense is struggling. They didn't replace them with good talent. Just have a Hall of Fame HC, Hall of Fame QB and a top 3 defense.
