I so hope the team sells out. Not just the private equity and the 19% of ownership - but the entire ownership. That interview just solidifies my stance that the Bears would be lunatics to not develop the Arlington Heights property into their stadium and sports campus. It would generate immense profit, while providing fans a far better sports experience than the lakefront rental. Renting from the Chicago Park District again would be a loss for fans. It would be hammering the square peg into a round hole - just so the rented stadium would be by the lakefront (LOL, as if fans give a rip about "gazing" at the pretty lake instead of wanting the best sports experience possible). I've quit going to home games and only go to away games now. Because the existing location is an armpit... it stinks on a number of levels that a new rental stadium is not going to fix.
I don't have bad feelings about the McCaskeys, and I wish the family the best. But they are not good owners. The product they have put on the field for decades now is mediocre at best. And if they are serious about doing another rental thing in the lakefront area, well, that is crazy. It will be so much better for the team and fans if there is a state of the art sports campus on those 300+ acres in Arlington Heights. Sports experience, and not gazing at the pretty lakefront, with all of the associated problems with that fan experience.
This City needs another football team. That would shake things up around here. WE had two teams once, we could do it again. Easily support another team around here.

Couldn't agree more, problem is the Bears are a nice source of passive income for the family. I really doubt they will ever sell it. They would be foolish to sell. One of the most loyal fan bases in the NFL, underpays every GM and coach here to yes men. I don't think there is any other NFL franchise that's worst than us right now in terms of history and failure. We could say the Browns but remember the old school Browns team became the Ravens and the expansion team of the 90's took the Browns name and history without the players or coaches who created it. Yet the Ravens still won 2 Super Bowls and always in competition for another one.

Ummmm, Sure there is. The Vikings are the Cubs of the NFL YO!64 year SB Trophy drought, 6 straight NFC conference championship losses, 4 SB losses, all sorts of off the field legal issues involving players. all sorts of loses of a painful nature. The Lions Could make a case too. Just Choked away a trip to the Superbowl last year. Season after season of miserable performances. The forgotten team of the NFC North. LOL do you watch football?

Dude the Browns are what you think the Bears are. Vikings, Det, Miami, none have done anything of value since the Bears last SB of 85, Houston has done nothing, Jags and Car are awful franchises. Tenn awful. Plenty of bad ownerships in the NFL, some in the same Div.
They hate us so much that they will never deliberately do anything to make us happy.
Anytime anything good happens it’s always by dumb luck. Then something like Cutty’s injury or the Double Doink happens.
MMMMMMM, The McCashkeys!!!
I absolutely hate them. I cannot think of one redeeming aspect of them at all.
Then look at Virginia. She looks exactly like Emperor Palpatine.
When I watch us play on Sundays and we do something stupid which happens every week except for when we play Carolina I will fantasize about the future. One day Virginia will die and I imagine her heirs fighting over her things. Then along comes Elon or Bezos and buys the Bears thus turning us into winners.
I need that hope. Otherwise all this whole thing is an excuse to swear, make beers brats and eat Tostitos.
