It's not good. Flus got a D- But at least one coach got an F so we aren't last!
Seriously though, not sure what criteria is being used. I don't doubt he has not done well and not defending him, just kind of wondering how they come up with these

Brutal to give Mike McCarthy and Doug Pederson better grades than Flus. At least the Bears arent winless with the 4th yr #1 Draft pick at QB and spanked by Browns who after week 1 were largely picked worst in AFC. Bears didnt get curb stomped at home by a team mostly picked 2nd or 3rd best in worst division in NFL like America's team.
I guess this is their reasoning... it's what they wrote:
"Eberflus’ Bears struggled offensively, as they were defeated by the Houston Texans 13-19. Even though Caleb Williams struggled in his NFL primetime debut, with two interceptions and getting sacked seven times, Eberflus remains confident in Williams and the offense even with their slow start to the 2024 season. Eberflus was proud of the Bears’ defense that stopped the Texans’ run game, even though he said there are things they need to clean up. The Bears still need to find their consistency as the season continues, especially since the Bears will square off against the Indianapolis Colts in week three."
1. A 6 point loss to the Texans. They have this 1 loss. 2. His rookie QB "struggled" in his first two games. 3. He remains confident in Caleb Williams in spite of two interceptions in his 2nd game of his NFL career. 4. Even though his D is performing at an elite level, he says he wants to get better. 5. He wants consistent improvement from the team.
The Bears are 1-1 with one loss. LOL, at least this is better than the other article talking about firing him after the 1 loss. So there is that...

Had to have an article so they made a slideshow to get 33 clicks per visitor and threw up a bunch of MSU grades. Could easily have made a numbered list instead. Hey, BiH, or is it Jon Goldfarb - don't you know how to make a list? Jon Goldfarb seems awful MSU to me...
A coaches rating makes a lot of sense later in the season. And certainly at the end of a season. I have zero problem with that. We pretty much have a brand new offense right now, with a rookie QB whom we are all excited about, and rightfully so. New coaching staff on that side of the ball. New players. New playbook and schemes. The team is 1-1.
Definitely rate our HC later in the year. But right now seems like a fruitless effort.

Ask yourself this. If Jim Harbaugh was our HC. Would our team look better? I'm willing to put money on that it would be. We wouldn't of even went after Rome and went after oline as Harbaugh believes in building up the line first.

Maybe but you know what else would make us look different? New Uniforms!
That's not gonna happen nor will dreaming of a different past. The time is over now. It's on to new tomorrows.
You can cry all you want but when you wake up, it will still be the same team.

Sure, aesthetically we would look different. Knowing the cheapness of Bears ownership. They're demand tax payers pay half of it.
All I know is you had a guy who is one of the best to ever coach, has spoken multiple times about wanting to be a Bear HC and we stick with a guy who has one of the worst NFL HC records.
I will cry and dream about a person who would of brought us to the promised land instead of a HC who is losing his team.

Line 1: Hahaha!
Line 2: Flus has nowhere near one of the worst NFL HC records.
Line 3: cry and dream all you want, JH might or might not have gotten us to the "promised" land, you don't know if Flus will or not either, and Flus is definitely NOT losing his team.

I just figure that ship has sailed. I'm not going to live in the past on that stuff (LOL, it would make me crazier than I already am, MOTM ).
