Biggs also mentions in his article about Bill Belichick blasting Poles for failing to build the team right by investing in the OL. Biggs basically is saying here that we're going to have to ride with this OL in 2024.
"As poorly as the line played the first two weeks, there is an avalanche of criticism and most of it is fair and warranted. Until the Bears prove they can consistently protect Williams against four-man rushes, have answers for basic five-man pressures and be more reliable against standard twists and stunts, it will be easy to wonder what they were thinking during the offseason.
It’s not just pass protection. They’ve failed to run the ball with any consistency, and when top running back D’Andre Swift gets only 18 yards on 14 carries as he did in the 19-13 loss in Houston, that’s also a major problem."

I was hoping that Flus would get canned along with Getsy at the end of last season. When the Bears decided to keep Flus and hire a new OC, I just hoped it would work out.
Well, it looks like it isn't working out at all. I suspect it will be a pretty sad year and a new HC is on the horizon. Hopefully we have several OL prospects taken with the first 4 picks in 2025.

Bench Davis. Try Pryor or Amegadjie at RG.
Bench Shelton. Try Kramer.
Run sweeps (mostly left behind Brax and Jenkins). Swift is not a power runner. Stop pounding Swift straight into a weak middle OL for 2 yards. 48 yards on 24 carries.
Let Williams do more rollouts instead of getting killed in a nonexistent pocket thanks to Shelton and Davis.
I know. All I can think of (not saying I agree with it) is that Eberflus believes the best way forward is to get the unit more experience working together... that it will improve with reps as a unit. There may be some truth to that, because it sure looks like one of the problems is a failure getting it together understanding "who blocks who" on these snaps.
The unit never had all 5 guys working together this summer and preseason due to injuries. That killed last years OL at the beginning of the season too. If the team changes the lineup now, it may introduce even more confusion. But who knows. The plane is in the air for this season. Tough to be swapping out the engines mid-flight. LOL, but then again, if the engines are dead, what do you have to lose, right?

This is what happens when the 1s don't get sufficient reps, together as a complete unit, in the preseason. That is 100% on Eberflus.
These OL issues would've been exposed.
Davis needs to be benched. Let's see what we have with Murray and Kiran.
The tolerance of loafing and poor play is also 100% on Eberflus. Set the tone in the locker room. If you suck at your job, then you don't have a job.
Put Jenkins on notice. Get your shit together or we start the other of Murray and Kiran.

Part of the problem, (just part) is that injuries prevented all 5 starters to get much time together this summer and preseason. It hurt the offensive line last year too.
