top 5 def is still going to put you at 8-8 and in need of a starting qb b/c there isn't on on this roster.

Let's bring back Bear football. We already have the RB in Howard. Now let's get the elite players on defense. You can always draft in the 2nd and 3rd round for a QB like the Raiders and Seahawks did.
Raiders went with Kahil Mack first then Derek Carr in the 2014 draft.
I think we need to hand out a second deflated game ball to Fox and a coaching staff who once again have their team nowhere near ready to play against a visiting team, playing on a short week, who just got pasted in their last game.
We got blown out by half time which just goes to show how little deception and resistance this team can put up. It's the 15th game of the season and they still look like they did in that 3rd preseason game. Pace has gotta make a change.
I think Barkley just learned a valuable lesson about being a pro QB - you have to be diligent with ur accuracy . He had 1 fabulous throw today , the TD in the corner to Meredith ... beyond that he was pedestrian on the ones he completed , and flat out garbage on the int's .
He solidified one thing though - he's a backup , and the Bears need to get another QB here who's better than what's on this roster . Cuz NONE of em are the answer .
If Jags won and we lost, then Jags and us are tied and we "win" with our ease of schedule. So yeah, we should now be at 3.
I like 3 -- still pining for #2, but at 3, you nearly always have a true consensus difference maker. I specify consensus because there are going to be difference makers throughout the draft - and especially at the top, but the ones that are consensus difference makers - the ones that pretty much all the experts think will be special are usually only the top two or three. Plus there are three real studs besides any QB possibilities and no matter what happens, one is ours if Pace wants him.
If we can just stay here and not drop another position or two, I think we will like who we get.
Did this answer some peoples question as to whether or not we still need to draft a QB? Redskins are not a great team, but better than some of the teams we have played recently. Now only the Vikings remain. Wonder what this does for the Fox job watch....
BTW, the Browns actually won a game, lol.... What it did for them is drop them to the #2 pick with the 9ers moving into first pick. Talk about a meaningless win costing you big....
Since no team has two wins at this point, there is no way we can get better than #3. That is our ceiling. We can drop if we win another, but hopefully we stick at #3 and get some picks that will seriously help the franchise next year.
