Yeah I saw that. I'm glad Poles didn't chase that price. Giving up a 3rd for a 32yo guy coming off injury who wants a big contract would not have been wise IMO. That trade won't age well for Atlanta if Judon falls off a cliff or doesn't bounce back from injury.
We need a stopgap only.
I agree. I wasnt aware Judon was 32, thought he was 29. We are not in the W now position to offer that atm. Good pass by Poles.

This is an interesting follow-up. Apparently the Pats did not think there would be much of a difference in how the Falcons or Bears ended the season. They left the choice to Judon and he preferred the Falcons to the Bears.

These guys don't what its like to be a standout DEF player in Chicago. If he produced he'd never pay for another drink and people would chant his name as he walked around town. SMH. Look how we still act like junior high girls when a 1985 Bear walks into a room.
He advocates a 2nd for him but he is 29 years old. A lot of production though.
I'd feel a lot better about a healthy 29yo than a 32yo coming off major injury
I'd rather keep that 3rd round pick considering his age and he hasn't played since October 14th, 2023 due to injury. He missed 13 games last year. Regarding the draft pick, hey, Judon is a 5th round pick himself. He was a good player, no question, but Bears need to keep their draft picks for 2025. They have 3 picks in the first 2 rounds. Hope they get a young ascending talent who will be on a rookie contract & can play long after Judon is watching football from his couch at home.
Yannick was underwhelming last year. Im not sure he is better than some of the other guys already on the roster.
+1 He has had some really good seasons, but last year he wasn't much. If he could return to being more like he was before last year, that would be a different matter.

It would have to be for far less than the 10.5M he got last year. 4-5M with incentives to earn a couple of million more would be good.
